I've been coming here since I was a kid. Now I order coffee with my beignets instead of hot chocolate, but that's about all that's changed. The beignets are the stuff of Krispy Kreme-cravings. Different taste, but same addiction factor. I've tried beignets at a handful of other spots around the South and none compared, or were even edible for that matter. The Chicory coffee is incredibly flavorful and the perfect accompaniment to the light, fluffy sweets. Sit, chat and people watch for hours. It's a New Orleans tradition.
