No one I know who lives in Minneapolis actually goes to the Mall of America. Tourists and travelers with extended layovers at the airport make up the bulk of the customers. If you go, prepare to walk...a lot...The place is huge. If you plan on buying several items, plan on renting a storage locker (fairly inexpensive). It's much more convenient than toting your bags all over the mall.
