I was charmed by this lovely Persian restaurant east of the river on University. It IS difficult to find: it is opposite Baker's Square, and the parking lot is on 25th. The food was all lovingly prepared. Persian is a delicate cuisine that is not spicy but instead very fragrant. It is not one of the ""great"" cuisines, and I do not think one could eat it every week, but it should be tried. It is sort of a refined Middle Eastern. The deserts should not be skipped and the cookies, on the other hand, reflect one of the world's great baking traditions. The number of distinct dry cookies Iranians can prepare is amazing and unique. One part of the restaurant that one SHOULD visit often is the attached grocery, probably one of the best gourmet stores in the Twin Cities.
