Well, I live just down the street from this small pastry shop named Josef's. I've always seen quite a few cars parked in it's parking lot, so I figured they must have something going for them. I went inside, and the setup isn't too bad, classic over the counter ordering, take a number, you know the style.
I ordered a few small pastries just to give it a try. I found out shortly that the prices are Very high for what you get. The pastries seem very dry, almost old. I did not enjoy them myself. The help there was nice, but not quite enough, they seemed unhappy to be working there.
All in all, if I REALLY needed french pastry in a short amount of time, I might consider going here, but for the money, I say it just isn't worth it.
