Jim's Steakhouse in Pittsburg is by far the best steakhouse in the area. They are 20 some miles from Joplin, but worth the drive every time. You will have to wait, so it is best to get there early. The price is very good considering the quality of the steak that you will get. They also have very good onion rings and bread to start you off right.
I recommend the sirloin tips. For $10 you will not get a better meal in the country that I know of!
I have ate at some of the most expensive steak houses, and am still convinced that Jim's has them all beat. They are that good!
