Hammer Head in the Pipes 4/15/2018

Overall it went very well, the Universal team drained all the cold water pipes to the lowest level of the house and then recharged all the water pipes. The team then identified the cause of the water hammer as the fill valve in one the the toilets, valve was replaced and have had no water hammer since being replaced. The toilet did start leaking from the inside flush flap, this has happened to me every time I have replaced or had the toilet fill valve replaced. I went and bought a new one for $10 and replaced it, fixed the leak. more
