After a lot of thought and pondering getting a puppy, I decided to come here and see if I would make a "connection" with any. I thoroughly thought out many factors, what I can provide a puppy...and although I really wanted to get a "rescue" dog, I still view this as giving a puppy a home, a life.
Anyways, Pets Delight is a small little store in South Pas. They have an ARRAY of different dogs, but when I described to Allan (employee) my life style etc. he brought out the most darling little Maltese. I didn't want a little dog at all...but I'm not ready for anything larger at the moment with the town house having limited yard space.
He let me stay in a room with "Riley" (that's what I've named him) and there was just a connection...every physical characteristic about what I wanted in a dog just went out the window and I want HIM.
So Allan called up the other families to let him know that the dog is not available anymore and I am picking him up today.
They have all his papers and the price ($2200) includes one complimentary vet visit. The catch, my dad happens to be their vet, so there's a couple things that could potentially work out.
What I loved most was that Allan definitely loves his job and I wish there were more of him out there in these pet stores.
