I recently took my 06 Jetta TDI to Buttera Motors for some problems I was having with loss of power and hesitation. I had taken it to the Dealership and two other Certified VW repair shops where I was told the problem was everything from a Timing Belt (thousands of dollars) to a blown head gasket (more thousands). A friend told me to take it to Buttera because he had such a fantastic experience with them and uses them exclusively now. I did and am I ever glad that I did!
After looking it over and running some tests, the owner (Matt) called to say that it was in desperate need of a general tune up but that the problems that I was told there were.... were not. In fact during their extensive tune up process, Matt and his crew found the actual problem. A horribly clogged fuel filter was the issue. They replaced it and the problem was solved. Now my Jetta runs better than the day I bought it and they did it at a fraction of the cost that I would have paid for things that weren't even wrong with it!
