Went for an annual exam which is covered in full by my health insurance and got a bill for $143 because they did a chlamydia test without my knowledge. I am responsible for paying this because they say it is standard procedure. I live paycheck to paycheck and do not receive government assistance, $143 is a lot to me and I would never have gone there knowing that they require and optional test that was going to cost me money. Also had to have a test done last year that cost me nearly $400 because they put the claim through as a surgery. I didn't think a q-tip swab was a surgery. Also, the fact that they won't give you a birth control prescription for more than 6 months so you have to keep coming back is ridiculous.
