We had a horrible experience with this company, Beat The Heat. First, when Larry showed up at our house, which we are renting, and we told him we were only getting quotes to approach our landlord with, he told us that he doesn't drive to do estimates unless he KNOWS he's going to get a contract. Well I guess we were a first. We didn't sign anything. We then decided with our landlord, that we would go ahead and put solar screens on the house. We were told there would be virtually NO difference in the amount of sunlight, just the amount of heat. However, when the installation guy got here, without a phone call or an appontment mind you, and started installing, I immediately disliked the product. It was VERY dark and changed the whole atmosphere of the home. I absolutely HATED it. We called the landlord and she said it was ok then to tell him to stop installing them. We still had NOT paid or signed any contract. We called Larry 2ce while the installation was being done to let him know we didn't like the product but he refused to cancel the order. He threatened my husband and the landlord's property. He was very rude, pushy, and showed very poor communication skills and customer service. If you don't mind the darkness of the inside of the house with solar screens, get them, but DO NOT use this company. more
