We used to eat here every year on our large family trip to Table Rock Lake. As the other reviewer mentioned, the salad bar was the salad “tree”. The food and steaks were always very good and we loved the atmosphere. Many times Jerry Lee Vincent would be singing country songs while everybody ate. Fortunately, I still have some of the wooden nickels they used to give out when you would leave. Some of you may also remember the MR Ducks/MR Not... sign. Great memories of this place and wish I could go back again. Not everyone who was there is still with us but this place will always hold a special place my memory. more

I miss no longer eating here 1/26/2018

For many years my wife and I vacationed in Branson and we always had one dinner at the Wooden Nickle. The atmosphere is uniquely rustic. The salad bar is great. I always had the prime rib and I was never disappointed. They even give you a wooden nickle at the register when you pay. I'm retired now and my wife passed away so I don't travel much, but I still have fond memories of Branson and the Wooden Nickle Restaurant. more

Good food, nice atmosphere 4/16/2006

On a trip to Branson, we ate dinner at the Wooden Nickel. We had a large group and they were able to seat us pretty quickly. They have a salad bar, that is circled around a tree. It is pretty neat to see! The salad and soup bar was pretty good, with a variety of stuff to put on your salad. They also had delicious bread on the salad bar. We all had steak and everyone seemed pleased with their dinner. Their prices were pretty reasonable. The restaurant itself was very nice and clean. It was a unique atmosphere, a place I would recommend!! more
