The WORST STAFF EVER!!!!! 12/20/2011

I have been calling for OVER A WEEK with bad pain...and all I ever got was a voicemail saying to go online and submit an appt request and they would call me back to schedule or confirm an appt. NO ONE ever called back. FINALLY...today...I got an answer and was put on hold for an unGODly long time. Finally she got back on and I told her what was happening. She said "" Oh we don't check those online scheduling forms"" . I was livid....then WHY have it on your voicemail? I've had nothing but scheduling problems with this location since the beginning several years ago. I like the ONE PERSON i go to and will return because of her and her alone. Loosen up your wallet and pay for more staff who can actually answer a phone and/or see patients. Get it together...or you're going to have a huge lawsuit on your hands!!!! more

Great doctors, awful wait times :/ 7/18/2011

First of all I LOVED every single doctor I went to during my pregnancy. Dr. Granger delivered our daughter and if it wasnt for him & my fantastic nurse I would have been on the table waiting for a C section. I saw Dr Denhaese (who I referred to my Mom for her Menopause issues) & Dr. Whitehead very frequently also. I have NO complaints about any of the staff either, in fact, every time I walked in I felt extremely welcome.. The one thing that may encourage my decision to switch OBGYN offices is the the wait time is absolutely adsurb.. I cannot believe this issue has not been addressed or fixed. There is no reason to make any patient, especially a pregnant woman sit in the waiting room for WELL OVER AN HOUR BEFORE EVEN BEING CALLED BACK. The time I spent in that office was absolutely ridiculous. When we get pregnant again I will definitely consider switching providers because I can NOT stand sitting around and waiting forever. My Mom has been to see Dr. Denhaese twice and each time she has waited for over an hour to even been brought back into the room to see him... Other than that, the place is WONDERFUL! Very clean, friendly & super duper amazing doctors :) more

Great Doctors TERRIBLE STAFF!! 3/23/2011

I have no complaints about the doctors, in fact if the doctors were not so good I would never call this place again! The phone answering staff is an embarrassment to all professionals out there. They leave you on hold forever, they send you to voicemails to set appointments and they never call back!! It took me 3 months to schedule an appointment because I could not get my Dr.'s nurse to call me back! more

Great Place 12/20/2010

I can't express my fantastic care that I received from the staff and doctors at the Brandon office. They were very professional and met our every need. Dr. K. Whitehead was understanding of our situation and along with Dr. Granger and Dr. DenHaese we received the best care possible. I highly recommend this practice to all my family and friends. more

Loved the staff, minus Dr. K. Whitehead 4/25/2010

Dr. Ken Whitehead is the sole reason for me leaving that office. Dr. DenHaese was fine but they kept sending me to Whitehead. He was very rude. He made a comment about me working and still being on medicaid. That wasn't any of his business nor was his remark something I needed to hear. Arrogant, cocky, terrible bedside manner. After I switched to the Women's Care at UCH, Brandon's office called me wanting me to come back. The rep was very friendly and understood why I left though. She said that Dr. Whitehead had several complaints that she had heard about and that they were looking to replace him. That was summer of 2006. If and why he is still there puzzles me.... Pros: Everyone working there except Dr. Whitehead Cons: Dr. Whitehead more

he ruined my life 7/18/2008

he told me i had a ectopic pregancy and talked me into terminating and when the autopsy results came in it was a healthy uterine pregnancy. also watch out he will force you to sign a paper stating you will not seek a lawyer if there is wrongdoing. go any place else. you will be better off delivering in a back alley filled with trash then allowing this evil man or anyone in his practice touch you. Pros: easy to get apointment Cons: wait time, bedside, does not tell the truth more

Bad.. Very Bad.. Bed side manners ... 3/28/2008

I could not agree more with Chrissy12507. Dr. Whitehead was the most inconsiderate physician that I have ever worked with . Out of all the Doctors in the practice I didn't want Dr. W, but unfortunately he was on call the day that I went into delivery. When he broke my water he did it with such force I was in pain for a while after. Even the nurse that was caring for me said that it was unnecessary for him to have done it in that manner. I am in the process of leaving the practice solely b.c of Dr. Whitehead. He does not seem to care about his patients and I refuse to be with a Doctor that come off as being ""Too good"" to deal with me. When I was in the delivery room he never came by to check on me. In matter of fact since he did not come to check on me I was left with out amniotic fluid for over 11 hours. This is harmful to both the baby and myself. Due to negligence on his behalf my baby was placed in the NICU for 3 days. If he would have came to check on me he would have noticed that they were not inducing my labor properly and administrating the right amount of fluids, which caused me to have a difficult and very uncomfortable labor. I was administered epidural on two separate occasions. The nurses that were taking care of me were the best in Brandon hospital after the surgery. I can never get that experience back... Pros: quick in / quick out Cons: very long wait times. I waited over 45 minutes past my appt b.4 I was even called back more

Keith Whitehead is the best of the best! 10/9/2007

I've been seeing Keith Whitehead for over 18 yrs and I highly, highly recommend him. He is caring, considerate of your feelings and emotions and practically held my hand all the way through my pregnancy with my second child, as my first child was stillborn and he knew how fearful I was in my second pregnancy. If I had the slightest concern, he would see me immediately and/or call me back right away...much unlike the doctor I went to with my first pregnancy... \r ....18 yrs later, Keith Whitehead is still the best in the world in my opinion; I would ,and have ,recommended him to many people; all of which have been equally as pleased with him as I have been. I cannot imagine anyone saying he has a terrible bedside manner or doesn't talk with you...in all my 18 yrs with him, I have never, ever experienced anything but a kind and gentle soul who truly cares... Pros: Awesome waiting environment, excellent service... Cons: Occasionally the waiting time is long because the practice is in such high demand! more

I love the practice... 6/26/2007

In my opinion Dr. Whitehead is one of the most caring MD's I have dealt with. I had to have a cone biopsy a few years ago, and he met me at the hospital on his day off to complete the surgery because my insurance was going to lapse in a few days. Also, just recently I was having a miscarriage, Dr. Whitehead was the MD on call and I called him about 5 times throughout the night and he was very available each time I called. He really hepled me get through it. When I had to go to the hospital the next morning to have the D & C he had a very sympathetic bedside manner. I would definately recommend Dr. Whitehead or any other MD at the practice to anyone. Pros: Quality of Care more

Whitehead = terrible bedside manor; DenHaese = best ever 5/30/2007

Dr. Whitehead is HORRIBLE. Don't waste your time with him. He is rude. He treated me, my husband and my mother terribly during my labor. He has absolutely no bedside manor whatsoever. He didn't even offer my husband to clip the umbilical cord of his own son. I was laying there in tears because I was so scared. No words of comfort. After I had my baby via C-section no congratulations, nothing...when you meet him for visits he is in and out in less than 5 minutes. He won't look at you or give you a chance for questions. \r \r However Dr. Fernandez is sweet. No complaints with her.\r \r Dr. Den Haese is AMAZING. That is why I gave it an average rating. Because as dissatified as I was with Whitehead, I think Den Haese is what will keep me coming to this office. I will just simply request not to see Whitehead. Dr. Den Haese cares about his patients. He will sit down with you and answer your questions and try to understand them from your level. He actually sat in my hospital room 30 minutes after his shift was over just to talk to me and see how I was doing in labor. He is sweet, funny and very gentle. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great doctor. Pros: Dr. DenHaese Cons: Dr. Whitehead more
