Lunch Spot 2/25/2009

Great for lunch. The plates are big enough to share. Between the two of us we had the Fritto Misto with shrimp, calamari, fish, olives, zucchini and lemon aioli. For our main we had steamed black mussels with bearnaise sauce. The bearnaise was excellent and the dish came with a crostini, which was prefect for soaking up the broth. We even had room for dessert, so we split the dark chocolate souffle with vanilla gelato. Service was great and the atmosphere was very casual. more

Great for Lunch 2/5/2008

We really enjoy eating here for lunch. Most items are large enough for 2 people. The salads are always a great choice. They are not your basic boring salad. The chicken salad is my favorite. Service is friendly and pretty prompt. more

Best Chicken Soup and Panini Period! 11/12/2007

This restaurant was soo delicious! I was hungover from too much partying the night before so I just ordered their chicken soup, which was the best chicken soup I've ever had! My boyfriend ordered a turkey avocado panini and I totally regretted not getting one myself. It was simple but amazingly good! It came with a side of baby green salad which, when wedged into the panini enhanced the taste tremendously. I will definitely be going back on my next visit to Sin City. Pros: Definitely the Panini Cons: NONE more

Excellent Food, Excellent Service, Family Friendly 12/29/2006

We love to eat here when we're in Vegas because the food is extraordinarily tasty and the service is so good. If you bring kids, they are happy to make something off the menu for them. I don't ask, the server has told me they would, and not only that, they charge only a nominal fee for the child's entree. The soup is excellent as is the pasta. The food tastes as if they make it right when you order it, and tastes very fresh. The quality cannot be beat and neither can the service. You should make reservations but if you end up there without them, the wait isn't more than 20 minutes and it's totally worth the wait. Wolfgang must teach his staff to treat the customers well because whenever I eat in one of his restaurants, I feel special because of the great service. The deserts are also to die for. Pros: Excellent Food, Excellent Service Cons: none more

GRAB A BARSTOOL - ORDER A FANCY BEER & AN UPSCALE PIZZA & BE GLAD IT AIN'T A HOT DOG! 11/10/2006

One of our favorite tips when staying at the MGM GRAND -- On the way out on the town...stop by the crazy mod white bar at Wolfgang Puck's - order a cold beer in a real glass & the mushroom leek pizza (truly delicious) Chat with the midwestern salesman to your right who is so sick of Vegas he is chatting up some over the hill hipsters from Seattle ..... or maybe you?? Guaranteed the food will be BETTER than any other hotel casino fast food joint. You will get to watch some pro bartenders. And you will be set back about $20 bucks which beats the pre-packaged roast beef sanny & bottle of beer at the casino snack bar. Pros: SIT AT THE BAR - FAST & REASONABLY PRICED more

At Best Average and Nothing Special 9/11/2006

Was staying at the MGM and thought dining at the Wolfgang Puck's Bar & Grill would be a good experience. Overall I would say it was average. The ambience is what I best remember of the resturant. It was very hip and very well done. The problem with the restuarant is the noise level. It is located right in the center of the casino, so the place can get very noise. If you're looking for a quite dinning experience this not it. The food here is ok. The planting and presentation is excellent but the food is just ok. Appitizers start at $10 up to $20. Had the grilled chopped vegatable salad and this was the best part of the whole dinning experience. My girlfriend had the pizza and it was ok. Nothing special and had better pizza at my local pizza stop. I had the flat iron steak and that was ok. It wasn't anything special either and just as good as my local stop. The portion size was good to poor. The vegitable salad was enough for two, the pizza was about a 12 inch pizza. The steak was a small amount steak and more fries. The prices here are about double than most places. Overall it might be nice for a lunch or to say you've been there but overall nothing special. Pros: Good Food Plating & Nice Looking Place Cons: Can be noisy, way overpriced, overall just nothing really special more

Average for the reputation, but one item shined 3/18/2006

Ordered the Chips with Maytag Blue Cheese($10), Grilled chopped vegetable salad($14), Linguini rapini roasted peppers goat cheese($17), and Pizza Italian sausage($12). By far the most outsanding item was the salad. It was enough for two, fully loaded with little greens and mostly veggies-mushrooms, onions, kalamata olives, tomatos, sun dried too, eggplant, carrots, asparagas, and feta cheese in a vinaigrette. It is 5 star all the way and worth a trip to the MGM just for this. The pizza, 10" was average. Thin sauce and a doughy in the center - sausage should have been better. The overall flavor was good if I could overlook the dough. Chips are great but way overpriced. The pasta cooked properly but nothing special. The glass painted decor was unique and the armed chairs were comfortable if you got small legs. Pros: grilled veggie salad Cons: pizza more

I like WP. I frequently eat at the restaurant on Universal´s Citywalk, and have dined at Spago and Chinois in Vegas. This is another bird.... We had made a reservation for 8:00, we arrived at 7:30, we weren´t seated untill 8:15, OK that´s 15 minutes passed our reservation but still, walk-ins were seated immediately, that´s weird. What we had was unremarkable and not very well prepared, it was all extremely rushed and not friendly at all. The restaurant looks great, and the servers look great, just have beeter food and an approachable server and manager and it would make a big difference. There are better places in MGM and on the strip. Pros: decor Cons: food, service more

  • In Short
While overlooking the gaming tables, the restaurant's post-modern design gives the feeling of dining on an outdoor patio. The open atmosphere is accentuated by a U-shaped bar, open kitchen and willow twigs twisted to form nine-foot-tall wreaths. Casual diners come in for quick bites, like the sizzling mussels with bernaise crouton or Puck's famous wood-fired pizza. Or for more relaxed meals, unique entrees are served, including the grilled flat-iron steak with Maytag blue cheese butter.
