Wineglobe COM

For good or ill, I live two blocks from this store (I'm pretty sure it's good). Not that I'm any aficinato, but I can't think of a wine\spirits store that is much better. It've been to *bigger* wine stores, but I wouldn't say they're any better. Its selection of wines (or at least the kind I drink) is more than enough, and it's "big wall of spirits" is like a candy store. How DO they fit that pear in that decanter of brandy? It's tasting room upstairs is plesant, and the atmosphere is relaxing. The fact they offer wine tasting classes is great. They've even taken me in the back room to do a on the spot whisky tasting; now that is customer service. Pros: Atmosphere, Customer Service, Never crouded Cons: Only one WineGlobe :( more

I responded to one of WineGlobe's ad for a networking wine tasting event. Intrigued I came in and was surprised to see a huge tasting room on the second floor. There were atleast 50-70 people and it was hosted by professionals from the wineries. The cost was a mere $10. Try and do that anywhere else. I have been a regular customer since then. I have also used their website to send gifts. Pros: Wine Tasting, Huge Selection, Great Service Cons: Tucked away, Only one store more
