Back in October of 08 I had my first experience with JAY and have been going back to him every 2 to 3 months since then. He is my stylist for life….you can’t leave JAY!!! I went in with long hair (below my shoulders) and wanted a short cute style, but was really nervous. Jay told me what would look good and I just felt that I could trust him. So I closed my eyes and let him cut away. I absolutely feel in love with my new style. Now when I go in he knows exactly what I need and we can just talk, it is always a fun time. I get so many complements on my hair and I always make sure they know who cut it. Thanks so much JAY! Pros: Everything is wonderful about this place!!! more

I went to the JC Penney's Salon and got the WORST CUT EVER!!! My hair was pointing in every which way possible. I came into Visible Changes in the First Colony Mall and had Jen cut my hair the next day. THIS WAS THE BEST CUT I HAVE EVER HAD!!! She knew exactly what to do and knew what looked good for people with my facial features. If there is anyone out there (guy or girl) make sure to make a visit to the mall and have Jen do your hair. She will fix you up and when you leave you will feel like a million bucks! To the managers of Visible Changes...MAKE SURE YOU KEEP THIS GIRL AROUND! Hello everyone out there! I would just like to give you some advice....if you are looking for the best haircut and style you have always wanted..then you need to see JAY!!! I was in on such a short notice and was very busy and he got right down to business and was utmost polite. I have been going to Visible Changes now for over 10 years. Xochyl has been doing my color for the last probably 8 and I will never again let anyone else touch my color but her...she is FANTASTIC!!!! So much so that I have so many people stop me to ask who does my hair and has even asked to take pictures, that I now carry her cards with me to pass out when asked so they can go see her. She is by far the best and if she left the state, I would make the trip once a month where ever she went to have her still doing my hair...that's how much I adore her!! ANd last, but certainly not least...there's Sandra who cuts my hair. Again, adore her and carry her cards as well because of the compliments I get. With both of these women, if I come in and they say ""Let's try this"" I completely trust them to try whatever they want. And if there's something new I want that they know won't work or I won't like...they have no problem telling me so and I again trust their judgement. So if you are looking for the best colorist or hairstylist at the Visible Changes in Sugar Land, Tx. these are the two women to go too....they will NOT let you down! :) Oh, and Lauryn! She blowdrys my hair when Sandra is out and has styled me & trimmed me a couple of times and does a fabulous job as well. I have been going to Visible Changes for about 2 years and have had the same two hair stylists. Crystal does my coloring, and we have tried many different colors and I've always been pleased with the results. Kim cuts my hair any style that I am in the mood for, exactly how I pictured it! Both of them gave me a makeover for my prom and my brothers wedding! I had so many compliments on my hair! They are so friendly, and make you feel like your their best friend! I've been seeing Clavia for the last 2 years, I love the way she cut and style my hair. Usually I get pretty bored with my hair style after a while, but with her, for the last 2 years, I still love my style. There's always something she does to make it up-to-date. For somebody that doesn't do much with hair, I need a lot of help with products and tools. She explained a lot to me without being pushy or putting pressure to me to buy the product. I don't have to wait long for the appointment and I feel comfortable going there again and again knowing that I'm in a good hand. Clavia is the best!!! more

After having the same hairstyle for about 20 years (long and straight with bangs), I was finally ready to make a change. But since I didn't have a stylist I trusted, I was understandably nervous. Finally, I just decided to go for it and decided on Visible Changes. Henny Rose was my stylist and she gave me the best cut of my life. It works perfectly with my very straight hair, takes very little messing with, even looks good when it air dries. Everyone I work with has commented on it, saying that it looks great, that I look 10 years younger and even strangers at my office have stopped me in the hall to comment on how good it looks. If you are looking for someone who listens, respects you, and knows her stuff then go see Angela to get your hair colored or highlighted!! I have been going to her for 5 years after moving here from NY. When I have family in town they go to Angela because they can't find someone as good as her in NY and neither could I when I lived there!! Angela is professional and kind and is completely honest. She treats doing hair as an art and takes alot of pride in her work and she always makes sure I am satisfied when I leave. My mother and best friend moved here from NY and also will only go to her. As a whole I really love the environment and all of the employees are extremely friendly, but there is nobody like Angela!! I took my daughter to a salon near our house for her highlights & cut, only to have them over-bleach her hair, then re color it darker. There were no highlights & the cut was awful! A friend of hers always goes to Visible Changes. We didn't think it could get any worse, so we made an appointment with the recommended stylists. Kerry recommended low-lights for my daughter rather than adding more blond & it looked great. Very natural & low maintenance. Jen evened out the previous cut & made more layers. I relocated to Texas from the East Coast one year ago and my biggest fear was finding someone that could manage my hair after having my cousin cut and style for fifteen years! I waited months and kept my long, long pony tail until one day walking thru the mall I heard music, smelled wonderful products and saw a variety of faces cutting and styling all sorts of hair. I held my breath and took a couple of steps toward the front desk to ask for someone to evaluate my dry ""overdue"" hair. I have tried a great number of haircuts over my short life (I am 20 years old) and this is the first time that I have ever truly loved my haircut! My stylist, Henny, is amazing and very sweet. She listened very well to what I asked her for, and gave me something very trendy that was exactly what I was looking for. I have been to Visible Changes before and gotten haircuts from other people there, and I have always liked the way that they cut it, but Henny is truly the best, and I highly recommend her. As an avid hair person and one who has lived all over the country...I know a thing or two about hair salons. I must admit that I've always been intimidated by Visible Changes, but that has changed over the past few years. I had a really bad color several years ago that FRIED my hair and needed someone to fix it. I stumbled upon a young lady in the Target parking lot and her hair looked great. She said that she goes to Visible Changes in First Colony Mall and to Illene for color and Lauren for cut. I figured that my hair was so bad that my daughter could make it look better & I had nothing to lose. I was right! Illene fixed my color and it was beautiful and it still is! I see her every couple of months for touch ups and she's incredible. I call her my hair princess. =) My hair queen is Lauren. She's amazing! She's cutting edge, but not strange. She's easy to talk and relate to, but is honest about what will look good and how long it will HONESTLY take to manage and upkeep. My 14 year old daughter loves her and so do I. There will never be a pair of scissors that touches my fab hair that isn't in her hands. They're both incredible! I can also say that the staff is nice enough, but is never out of their way nice. I seem to a speck in their day and am treated as such. But...I've learned never to let men or women no matter how old or young they are stand in my way. all of the stylists are super sweet. and so are the receptionists. but the manager roseanna is the worst person ever. she wears her make up like a girl who works the corner. she might as well be working on the side of the road. she was extremely rude and did not meet to my needs.im surprised she is still even there. her being there is running customers and staff away and the problem needs to be resolved ASAP! more

After trying many hair stylist I finally found one that listened to what I really wanted, Andre at the First Colony mall took his time in looking at my hair and face structure, he gave me a complete new look also recommended Elennys for my color which she did an excellent job, I can finally do my hair quickly and it looks great every time! First off, I had to wait twenty minutes and watch Santiago read a magazine because the people up front didn't create a ticket for me. Then Santiago shampooed me (without conditioner), rushed through my hair cut and didn't even look at the pictures I brought in. When it was over they had the nerve to charge me $37 for just an average haircut. Visible Changes is not even a real salon, it's like one step above Fantastic Sam's. I normally go to an Aveda salon where they take their time, they listen to me, they use quality products (VC uses Paul Mitchell), and they only charge me $30. They only reason I went today was because I needed my hair cut on a Monday, and Visible Changes was about the only place open. I thought ""how bad could it be?"", pretty bad actually.\r If you want to pay way too much for an average, barber-college haircut, then go to Visible Changes, but if you have even the vaguest idea of what is hip, then avoid this place like the plague. more
