My neighbor told me about bad reviews on yelp and city search re: wilshire west carwash. We were shocked ! We both live around the corner from the carwash and wash our cars there regularly for more than 10 years. Not once have we had a bad experiance. It is uquestionably the best carwash on the west side. There management & staff are professional and couteous! Try it out and see for yourself ! more

I went there to wash my car, There were a few Mexican guys around, who ignored me for 10 minutes finally they asked me to move my car into another lane after the LONG wait time, and quoted me 15.99 for a basic wash! I told them I was not going to move my car since I was in the lane and had been waiting, then they laughed and said ok suit yourself and ignored me again, like my time was NOT important. They even looked pist off that one more car had pulled up. I told them that I felt disrespected and wanted to see their boss. 20 minutes later a tall Mexican guy came and he was on defense right away, I tried to tell him what has happened and I realized he too was laughing and could careless. I am a female and I understand may be in Mexico the women do NOT talk back to men but come on, we are in USA. SO I told him so and he began to YELL at me saying go home, you don't need to talk about Mexico, hello GIANT IDIOT I too am from another country! Any ways I demanded the name of the owner, but instead he gave me the phone number of the place and said go leave and message and NOW LEAVE! and all his workers began to laugh!!!!!!! It was the MOST DISGUSTING experience ever and I will NEVER go back there again! It is EXPENSIVE and the STAFF is RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL!!! Stay AWAY! THE CAR WASH MANAGER LITERALLY YELLED AT ME when I politely pointed out that the guy who up-sells every single car was is a little too pushy for comfort. (I didn't even mention that the guy is also incredibly rude, lies about what services you ""need,"" and doesn't make eye contact or treat people with any respect). Manager's first reaction? HE WALKED AWAY FROM ME LIKE I WASN'T THERE. Second reaction (after I caught up)? HE YELLED AT ME. I'm not kidding. DO NOT GET YOUR CAR WASHED AT THIS PLACE!!!! Things get stolen from your car. My ITOUCH was stolen from my car two sundays ago, and the owner says, "" I can't do anything about it"". The person who worked on you car says he didn't take it.... He is Bazaar.... Will NEVER go back, considering I have been a customer forever and live a block away!! more

I went here Sunday for the first time. Yes my car was dirty. Why else would I be going to a car wash? A rather pushy man greeted me and immediately asked me if I was in the movies. Seriously???? Can't you come up with something a little more original? Or maybe ""how can I help you?"" Long story short he gave me a total hard sell. I asked twice to see prices and he never showed them to me. After going on and on and on about how terrible the outside of my car was he tried to squeeze me for a $139 detail job I didn't want. I finally settled on a $60 hand wax - not the cheapest but not out of line for that service which I do get on a regular basis. When he wrote the ticket instead of saying ""thank you"" he brushed me off like a piece of trash. If I didn't need the car done so badly I would have suggested he file the receipt somewhere that normally does not see sunshine...I was in a hurry and I will say they got the car done in the 30 minutes I asked for but that was about the only positive thing. Outside was fair- still water spots and you could see some of the wax but not a total disaster. Inside not so much. They missed a lot of spots that needed a wipe down. So all in all I got a mediocre wax job for too much money and had to deal with a pushy hard sell employee who trys to make you feel like a jerk if you don't lay down for the most expensive service. PASS! I will not be returning. more

Just got my car washed and I am in a very good mood. I don't know why this place always puts me in such a good mood?! I think it's because of the kind staff or probably the fact that my car is spotless or MAYBE and most likely because of the massage chairs. Either way im one happy camper more

I took my car to get washed on Dec. 23, 1010. I made two mistakes. First, I allowed the extraordinarily pushy attendant to convince me to pay $41 for a ""detail"" instead of the basic $18 wash I originally requested. When I got my car back it was basically still dirty. The so-called detail was just a $41 basic car wash done badly! Second, I left my ipod nano in the glove compartment. It was gone by the time the car was returned to me. more

After trying to up sell me on a $75 wax job we finally settled on the mid-priced wash. After they waved me down to get my car, there were water marks down the side from where they didn't bother to wipe the car down and the interior didn't even look like it had been vacuumed, let alone wiped down as I'd paid for. I got into the car and they had even skimped on the cheap air freshener. more

I was looking for a car wash last Thursday and stumbled upon this one! The service was fast, my car looked great and took less than 30 minutes! I signed up for the unlimited car wash club and got a really good deal too. If you're looking for a quick car wash, with good prices this is it! Yes, you can get your car washed efficiently here. BUT...you will endure a fast talking, intimidation based hard sell for more expensive service; you will pay more than you should; you might very well be less than thrilled with the result; and you might find, like I did, that the inside of your car smells like sour, mildewed clothes afterward. So...my $170 detailing has lowered the value of my car by about $2000. That's an expensive car wash. Go somewhere else. more

I went there sunday afternoon on March 30th, placed camera in my center console and when the car was out of the wash, the camera was stolen. When i told the manager he asked me why i would leave that in the car! Dont go here, they are bad people!\r \r FML Pros: NOTHING Cons: thieves more

This is the worst experience I've ever had at a car wash. I wanted a simple interior and exterior wash, but the salesman basically refused to provide me with that service. He kept pushing some ""detailed"" wash on me, first for $250, and then at a special discount of $200 - just for me. I asked him again how much it would be to JUST get the inside and the outside washed, and I got back a lengthy and incoherent sentence that ended in $150. \r \r As this is the first time I'd taken my car for an interior wash, I had no idea how much it was supposed to cost. I was made to prepay the $200, and when I returned for my car an hour and a half later, the inside of the doors were not even clean, and my car smelled wet and unpleasant, rather than of ""pina colada"" as they had said it would. I then asked the service adviser for an itemized list of what had been done to my car and how much each service cost, and he said that he did not have such a list and could not provide one. \r \r I actually called them yesterday just to see how much they ""normally"" charge for their car washes, which they answered with great reluctance, but I finally squeezed it out of them that an interior and exterior car wash (what I had asked for!) is $60.\r \r Even though Wilshire West Car Wash would never be able to con me again now that I now the prices, I will never go back there because I think their business practices are unethical and disgraceful. more

This is the best car wash on the west side. You get a great car wash for $15 or a wash and wax for $45, and you can usually talk the guys into a discount on the wax... PLUS they have an unlimited car was club for $45 a month which is an amazing deal!! If you come once a week for a car wash anyway, you end up with a free wash every month. Such an easy way to keep your car clean! Pros: cheap, do a good job Cons: gets busy on weekends, especially in summer more

I have tried this place a few times and each time something was wrong. One issue that consistently stayed wrong was the sales people. They are extremely pushy and rude. If you say no to a service that they are trying to push you then the guy completely flips turns rude. I understand that the guy must be on commission but this is no customer service! . They didn't deliver the service they promised me and when I complained manager was not helpful at all.\r I wouldn?t take my car there even it was for free...\r more

Ive never been treated like this by any company ever... the people that ask you what you want done on your care are worst than the car sales men them self's. I am using this car wash for more than a year. Employes are hard working, quick and efficient at work. You don't have to wait too long. They do try to sell you the most expencive deal, but my company is paying for my car wash so I always take the same deal, nothing more or less.\r One thing I really find annoying is red hair from cleaning fabrics on windows, and the fact that the same fabrics are used to clean all parts of the car. \r On the receipt you'll receive there is a statement: ""get $7 off an oil change & a free hand wax, when you return within 30 days of this visit!"", but don't be fooled by this statement, the condition to get free hand wax is not to return within 30 days as it states, they actually want you to change oil, whether you want it or not, and then you can get free hand wax, which I wouldn't have any problem with, if the statement was: ""when you change oil within 30 days of this visit, you'll get $7 off an oil change & a free hand wax."" The manager of this place sadly told me that many people are comlaining about it, but it's his bosses decision. I did consult with a person who is an English teacher before writing this review to avoid fals interpretation of the statement and I wrote this review because I don't think that scam makes good business. I also feel sorry for emloyes who have to go through this every day. more

Yes, this car wash is a bit on the pricey side, but so is every other wash on the westside unless you have time to do it yourself. I go there on a regular basis and their service is excellent. They do a quality job very quickly! It's a big site, they move cars fast so you hardly ever have to wait in line. You can bargain them down from a $50 hand wax to $40 with no problem, and you really see the difference between cars that do and dont get waxed. Plus they also do oil changes there, and they throw in a free wash if you get your oil done. Highly recommended! Pros: fast, efficient, friendly Cons: pricey more

I've always been skeptical of car washes. But after one Sunday morning pit stop at Wilshire West, I've finally found a place to take my shiny (or dirty) red car. The staff is friendly and sure, they always ask if you want the most expensive package available, but if you say no, they won't push you. The basic wash rings in at just under $10, well worth the final effect. Best of all: you can be in and out in 10 minutes. Your car -- and your passengers -- will thank you. Pros: Speedy service more
