Editorial review from Citysearch 5/18/2013

Travel the world and come back here for the most amazing experience. Tranquil, relaxing and the feeling of not wanting to be anywhere else in the world. This spa has stellar service. I wish there was one in Minnesota!!!! more

Editorial review from Citysearch 7/11/2012

I absolutely love Willow Spa, I go there once or twice a year with my mother. Together we either both get massages at the same time, or one of us gets a massage and the other gets a facial, and the third is sometimes we get two treatments in a day (I believe on Tuesdays you get a discount for booking two treatments). more

Great massage! 2/19/2011

My boyfriend got me the Complete Renewal Package for Valentine's Day and it was wonderful! The entire experience was very relaxing and comfortable. The changing area/bathroom area was a little strange but you only spend a few minutes in there. I definitely recommend it! more

Best massage! Enzyme Bath is like nothing else! Ask for Julie! 1/17/2009

I love Willow Spa!!! It is much cozier and more peaceful than other spas. The natural environment adds so much to the experience. I recommend Julie for a massage or the enzyme bath. She gave the best and most effective massage I have had since moving to LA. The foot soak and foot massage that come with each treatment is a great bonus too! more

Amazing!!!!! 9/13/2008

I just comepleted my first facial at Willow - I moved from OC to Santa Monica last year and have been disappointed with the selection of spas in the area. Exhale, Burke Williams, Petite - just to name a few. I mean they were ""alright"" but not great. This is my first review on citysearch. I was so pleased with my organic facial today that I just had to write about it. So tranquil, peaceful, relaxing and my face looks fantastic! Upon leaving I booked my next facial and will continue for as long as possible!!! This place is gem.... Pros: Relaxing, peaceful, great facial Cons: None more

Can you say relaxing ten times.... 7/20/2008

Wow, after saying relaxing I think i will go to sleep but, first come here. If you want to know the real meaning of pampering. I sent my wife here and she loved it. She is like a new person. You will be hooked.. more

The Best Massage! 4/15/2008

Driving up, I didn't know what to expect. Willow Spa turned out to be an oasis in the midst of busy, cluttered Santa Monica Boulevard. It was the most relaxing experience from start to finish.\r I had the 60-minute Zen-tastic massage and it was the greatest massage I've ever had. The price was very reasonable...only $95. more

Super relaxing spa day! 3/15/2008

Today was my second visit to Willow Spa and I tried the citrus revitalizing treatment and mango polish. My skin never felt softer. On my previous visit I tried the enzyme bath which is quite a unique experience in its self. The atmosphere is tranquil and it is a great oasis found within an urban city. Try it you won't be disappointed! more

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! 1/26/2008

I was told by a friend how great Willow Spa was and have been meaning to get a treatment there for over two years. I finally did after getting a gift certificate. I want to add that I get massages quite often. I went in with a ton of stress and some serious shoulder pain and came out feeling rejuvenated and like a completely new person. Its hard to believe this spa sits on Santa Monica Boulevard... rather you feel like you are in a tropical oasis... What's even better is that I was so shocked to find how reasonable it for the type of care that you receive... in every treatment I have had so far.. each was amazing... the therapists really seem to care how you are feeling and to do what they can to help you feel better! I will never go anywhere else in LA after this place... highly recommended... parking can be a pain which is the only drawback... Pros: Free Footsoaks.. knowledgeable staff Holly and Grace are the absolute best!!! Cons: Parking more

Japanese enzyme bath will erase any tension you have... 10/26/2007

Ok, so this Japanese Enzyme Bath thing is amazing. You step into a large vat of what appears to be wood chippings (NOT water -- don't let the ""bath"" part fool you). The techician adds some enzymes to the mixture so that it begins to heat and heat and heat. (high school chemistry pop quiz: it's an ""exothermic"" reaction?)....and then covers you up to your neck (you're wearing an old swimsuit, one that might end up with some red stains on it). Every few minutes, they will come back and give you ice-water to sip on through a straw; they will also pat down your face with a cool towel. Meanwhile, they leave you there to MARINATE in an INTENSE heat...honestly, sometimes uncomfortably hot (don't move around -- moving just mixes the enzymes together more and makes things hotter). After you get out, the technician will give you a large brush to get the shavings off....you then shower away the rest (note: the shavings get EVERYWHERE). Pros: absolute physical relaxation. We hung out in the courtyard for a while, and they never rushed us to leave. Cons: parking? more

This is THE place for rejuvenation. 8/14/2007

It?s hidden, very cute and cozy ambience. Just like an oasis in the city. It made me feel like I?ve tripped to somewhere else. more

Amazing massage 11/6/2006

I went to Willow for the first time and had an extraordinary sports massage. She pulled out every knot in my body, and I left feeling great! I also really like the ambience and the foot massage. It would be a great place to rent out and have a small party with friends. Delightful! Pros: Julia is the best, great atmosphere more

So Relaxing 2/27/2006

It is amazing how this house can be on a busy street and when you walk through the gates you would think you just walked into a luxurious spa retreat. I was never distracted by outside noise. It was a real treat. The foot soaks are as beautiful in person as they are on their website. My husband and I had massages in the same room and they were excellent and my friend had such a great experience with his facial he bought product too. We really loved Willow Spa and will return soon. I hope you have many blessed years of success. Pros: personal touch, relaxing, great value more

An amazing retreat 1/6/2006

Willow Spa offers unique treatments in a lovely, peaceful environment. Nearly all of their treatments began with a luxurious foot massage, which is simply divine. Their Thai Massage and Enzyme Bath treatments are both must-trys! Pros: Unique treatments, Serene environment, Friendly staff more

The best spa experience I've had! 1/5/2006

I love having spa days, especially with friends. So when my friends bday came up I looked into Willow Spa. They were having (and might still have) a promo going on, 2-4-1 Japanese Enzyme Baths with a 30 minute Thai massage after. This spa/treatment blew both our minds! We felt so pampered and relaxing the entire time. The staff made us feel very comfortable and never rushed. The grounds are beautiful, hard to believe it's right off SMB. I felt not only relaxed, but also very clear/rejuvenated/healthy after leaving. It's great for body/skin detoxification as well as overall health. Everything about this spa is top notch, and very Zen. Pros: Inexpensive, Knowledgeable staff, Beautiful atmosphere more

Pleasant and relaxing experience 12/2/2005

I came here for a facial after reading reviews on Citysearch, and was greatly impressed. The staff was very friendly, and my facialist did an amazing job. I especially loved the tea and foot rub preceding my appointment. The garden is extremely relaxing. I will be going back for another facial, plus the massage treatment. Pros: atmosphere, facials Cons: parking more

A small piece of heaven 10/17/2005

I read a review on the Willow Spa and had to give them a try. I was aprehensive but upon entering the gate my worries began to fade. The staff is very knowledgable and caring. The Thai massage was like closing my eyes and going back to Thailand. It was the best and I am now a regular. You will be also. Pros: relaxing atmosphere, Skillful staff, reasonable Cons: location more

Oasis, Right in my own backyard 5/22/2005

At first, we were a little reluctant to visit a spa on Santa Monica Blvd. However, after the first five minutes at Willow, we knew that we picked a great place. The atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming. The services were top notch! It's truly the best ""spa"" value in Los Angeles. Pros: Price, Quality of Service, Staff Cons: Location more

Paradise in the city 3/14/2005

I just returned from visiting spas in Hawaii and I can truly say, ""Willow Spa"" is unique. There's no place like it even in beautiful Hawaii. Willow Spa's tropical/asian atmosphere takes you away to an exotic oasis which even Hawaii's spas couldn't do and I was actually in paradise. If that's not enough, the therapists and staff at Willow Spa pamper you and give you treatments that work! Highly professional, lovely personalities, super skilled AND you get your money's worth. Pros: beautiful atmosphere, skilled therapists, worth it more

Escape to Willow Spa 3/13/2005

Willow Spa is a must for everyone. I love their massages, facials, and foot rubs. If you want to leave the city for a while, escape to Willow Spa. The Therapists are friendly and skilled. The atmosphere is restful, exotic, and beautiful. more
