Best

Very comfortable homey place to eat, only the food is ten times better than what I cook at home. Large portions, tasty unpretentious meals, made with fresh local produce. You will...

Worst

I've been wanting to try Wild Mountain Cafe for some time so I took the opportunity when a friend from out of town came for a visit. I liked the decor and homey feeling and I must...

Order dessert!! 11/25/2006

OK, so I am a little spoiled at work, my boss buys us lunch every week. For the last year we have been going to Wild Mountain every week. The food is delicious. Between my office group, we order a variety of things. I always get breakfast with delicious garlic potato cakes. My boss gets the daily special wrap, which can be anything from a thai wrap to a more traditional caesar wrap. The wrap comes with soup which 95% of the time is delicious. Every once in a while they miss. The salads here are fresh and inventive. The fresh lemonade is a must. The desserts are made daily and are always delicious. The mud pie is by far the best cake/pie I have ever had. The staff is very friendly. The restaurant is eco friendly and recognized by the city for the conservation efforts they make. more

Amazing breakfasts: PNW cuisine fused with greasy spoon fare. Very fresh ingredients, breakfast till 3pm. Worth the trip, and not overpriced. more

Home Cooked Goodness 10/31/2005

This place is about feeling like you are at home--since it is an old refurbished house. And I'd categorize the food as "comfort food," so yes, saucy, starchy, rich and all the other good things involved. Falina's Oven fried chicken--note the healthy approach-- with vegetables and mashed potatoes is the best square meal in town. Good for breakfast, too, with the best Bloody Mary's around! The eggs benedict has dee-lish, homemade hollandaise. I get this every time. At night we like to go and sit at the bar--since the staff is so great! The menu is pricey, but I like to support the fact that this is a small, local business and the are very green and enviro-friendly. The owner, Connie, is everything a restaurant owner should be. Present, funny, sassy and friendly! Come to think of it, that's how I'd describe the rest of the crew, too. We are so lucky to have such a gem in Crown Hill. more

Yummy homestyle 8/17/2005

Wild Mountain has great eats in a kid-friendly, but grown-up homestyle atmosphere. They're eco-friendly and have great chow. Mac 'n cheese is grrreat...and they have THE BEST eggs bennie (and vegie version) for brunch! more

Wild Mountain Cafe has a GREAT Breakfast 6/9/2005

I'm not a breakfast lover, but you can get me to Wild Mountain Cafe for breakfast any time. It's a caloric splurge that's well worth it. And they make fabulous Bloody Marys too. Other meals there are big and tasty and have a flair, but breakfast is what they do best. Ask to sit in the back room or in the bar if you want to avoid the crowds waiting by the door, especially in the cold, wet, winter months. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is cozy and comforting. more

ok but too heavy 4/9/2005

went into wild mountain cafe with high hopes but was left pretty disappointed. the restaurant itself is cute - small but cozy, and the waitstaff is very nice. but EVERYTHING we ate had lots of heavy sauce, creams, etc. even the bread we ordered came with all sorts of creamy toppings! i thought i was getting a light pasta & shrimp dish but, alas, it was swimming in a heavy cream. the food is good but i was really hoping for something more true to what was represented on the menu. that's my story and i'm sticking with it. more
