I love this place! more

Good: I have shopped here since I was a kid. They have a full selection for birds, small animals, fish, reptiles, and now have dogs and cats from the SPCA up for adoption. They have by far the biggest selection of supplies and animals that I have ever seen. Independent pet stores are usually very small, and chains might be bigger, but have a very limited selection. This store is the best of both worlds. It is HUGE like a chain, but with WAY better selection. Plus it's local so all the money stays in our community. Bad: It is a very cluttered, but if it were to be as organized and as spacious as a chain, they would have less products to choose from.. Improvements: I would like to see them get a bigger store so they can properly fit all of their merchandise. They are like a gigantic 20,000 square foot store, but with 40,000 square feet worth of merchandise.. Other: GREAT DOG FOOD SELECTION! They must have 30 different kinds.. more

Whities Pets is such a great shop. I remember going there a long time ago a very long time ago when I was a teenager and getting fish. I have now taken my children there and they love it. This is a great store whether you are going to get a pet or going to buy supplies for your pet this is the place to go. The staff is very friendly and the prices are very reasonable. more

I actually got my dog here. And I can't emagine not having her. Whities is a great pet supply store. You can actually be in here for a long time...without even realizing it. I love looking for doggie birthday gifts here! Lots of great items to choose from. You wont be disappointed. more

Whities has a terrific selection of a wide variety of animals. Birds, fish, reptiles, rodents, puppies and kittens. There are always plenty of things to look at and browse through. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. I have taken sick rats in and asked questions and received the answers I needed right away. They always give me the advice that I need for my classroom pets. I always give myself extra time when I am running an errand to Whities, because I know that I will not only make my purchase, but that I will take time to browse as well! more

This is a great pet store, not only for buying whatever you need but for just looking around. I've got a couple of parakeets here no problem - and beautiful birds too. I had a rat that gave birth, and I sold the babes here when they got a little older. They have so many pet toys it's almost ridiculous - they must have dozens of those cat tree house type things. Even if you only need to buy one thing, its always fun to look at all the fish and animals to kill some time. more
