I'm sure they have some good lawyers, but this firm is generally a very bad choice for most clients. Their reputation has reportedly become worse and worse.Some of their individual lawyers have also reportedly seen their own reputations get worse. From what I've heard, Matt Miller is one of their lawyers who has especially developed a bad reputation. On the other hand, I've heard they have some good lawyers in their Employment Law department. more

I’d like to find a way for current and former clients of the Cleveland Ohio law firm Weston Hurd to be able to communicate with each other about problems they may share with this law firm. The main problem that I’d like to get feedback on is about Weston Hurd overcharging for its legal services. I don’t know yet, but I’m getting the impression that the problem is widespread within the firm. I’ve heard references to Weston Hurd being called “The Bill-Padding Kings”. That worries me to some degree. But I’m even more worried about specific examples of Weston Hurd getting caught cheating clients with inflated invoices. Here is a recent case – 2014-0197. Disciplinary Counsel v. Smith, Slip Opinion No. 2017-Ohio-9087 – in which a Weston Hurd attorney was found to have engaged in massive client fraud, padding his client’s bills by huge amounts of money. Let’s us Weston clients figure out how to get together and compare notes. If we find that there is a common denominator of invoice padding among us, we then can hopefully figure out how to fight back against Weston Hurd. Strength in Numbers. more
