To me one of the paramount benefits about renting at Walnut Tower Apartments is the proximity to downtown employers. If you work somewhere in the central business district you can stroll to the office if you choose! With gasoline prices going sky-high and causing money to evaporate from your wallet, living close to your job and reliable public transportation is becoming a necessity rather than a luxury. To echo Johnny Cash?s lyrics to Five Foot High and Rising, I am concerned we may soon be singing: How high is the gas price, mama? Three seventy now and rising; How high is the gas price, papa? Past four now and rising! One of the loudest moans in the office is often employees grumbling that they don?t enjoy lengthy drives back and forth to home, though I am sure they are glad to have a job in this economy! By living closer to work, one has more quality time for themselves, more time to: run errands, spend time with friends, unwind, lounge around, contemplate not having a yard to mow or use the workout room Walnut Tower provides! That equals less stress and more happiness. Of course this is a no brainer, if you reside close to work you reduce driving and will live a more car-free and transit-oriented lifestyle. You will have more money and less wear and tear on your vehicle, keeping the costs of car maintenance down. Or, should you not own a vehicle you can buy monthly bus passes from KCATA and let the readily available city transportation get you around the metropolitan area. If you make a move to Walnut Tower Apartment and are subsequently closer to work or end up drastically cutting your mileage driven, call your insurance company to see if it can earn you a discount. A number of insurance companies are offering pay-by-the-mile programs, which may end up costing you less than traditional plans if you rarely drive at all. more
