Very tired of folks who want to SEE golf, not play it... 9/24/2010

Time and time again I meet people on the course that criticize it to shreds... it's not manicured, it's not wide, it's short, etc... they want a 'country club' experience. Then I see them hit a shot or two - in the woods - and I get it... they want a wide, easy, luxury day, ... fine... but this is a golfer's course. WL is a 'purist' course... a course where you can get affordable lessons and hone your game. If you don't believe me ask the 2-handicapper I played with last week... he said this is a great great little course and doesn't deserve the rep. I agree. more

Walnut Lane - New Mngt., Far Better Condition 6/7/2010

Walnut Lane is 10 min. from City Ave @ Rt. 76. The course condition, thanks to Gary and crew, especially greens, is outstanding... even with recent heat waves. (writing this June 7, 2010). WL is par 62; walkable, tight, gorgeous in the fall, and perfect for the mid-higher handicapper who might like to leave the driver in the trunk and practice irons and short game. Now that Woody's is gone this is a great alternative and comparable pricing... $22 and up! Check the dates on the other reviews... you'll find the critical ones are 5+ years old (and no longer relevant). Pros: Great Layout, Greens are 1000% better, see details... Cons: Precision Player's Course - Not wide more

Dog Track 8/8/2002

I cannot see how this course is even ranked, you have to be kidding me. First of all there are actual dogs on the golf course, seriously, there is a park that goes through the course, where many people take their dog to the course and let their dogs run on the course. Poorly maintained, and it is cheaper than most golf courses and has a few nice par 3's-which is the only positive note. more
