Good Eats Poor Service 9/10/2010

I have eaten several times and actually like their salads to go. They are large and tasty and the Bread balls coated in olive oil and parmesan are excellent and hot. Most the pizzas I have tried are really tasty and much better than average. The sad part is that when I place a to go order for a simple salad and bread balls, its never ready when I get there. I was told ten minutes went to the post office and the bank close by because I knew they were slow, but still had to wait 15 miinutes for a simple salad. When I asked for my order the girl behind the counter checked and after a few minutes said there was never any order phoned in and she went back and finally made the salad herself , I have also eaten in the restaurant several times now. if you are alone just don't do it. You sit a very long time for pizza at least 45 minutes, so if your having fun with friends that's ok but it's just too long a wait otherwise. It is a nice atmosphere for a group or family dijnner. I am a former food critic and genuinely like their food but they are slackers in the kitchen in getting the food out or being organized. Perhaps the Kitchen Nightmare Chef could come in and kick them in the butt or say a few inspiriig words to the staff. They appear to hire very laid back people, who aren't too concerned with service. I would recommend they find a good night manager to organize the kitchen staff so they are able to deliver the great tasting food quickly, when it's hot and fresh. Then the place would be packed nightly. Waiting a half hour for a simple salad is not acceptable. My average over several times. I had hoped by phoning ahead things would improve and be ready when I got there even after dragging my feet. But it simply didn't happen. more

Terrible service. Terrible. 10/25/2009

I called in an order at 7:24pm to pick up and was told it would be ready in about 20 minutes. I do understand that it may take a few more minutes to finish the pizza depending on how busy the restaurant is. I walked in and paid at 7:46pm (22 minutes after time of order). I waited on the barstool directly in front of the cash register until 8:08pm (44 minutes after time of order and 22 minutes after time of payment) at which time I asked the girl at the counter who I originally paid if my pizza was done. She went back and brought up a pizza. I asked how long it had been ready and she said she didn't know. She looked like a deer in headlights. Like I was out of line to ask how long my pizza which I had already paid for had been sitting around getting cold while I had seen her standing around at the counter for the past 20+ minutes. She finally offered to ask the manager and came back and told me it had been there for 5 or 10 minutes. So I asked if it had been 5 minutes or had it been 10 minutes. The manager then came to the front and was extremely rude to me and instead of asking what the situation was or apologizing, told me I don't need to be rude to the employees. I tried to explain what was going on and was interrupted with this from the manager: ""I hope you never come back here."" I asked for my money back and received it. I don't know the manager's name, but he was short with dark hair, had a beard and looked too young to be managing any restaurant. So, the manager need not worry. I won't be back. And I'll be sure to let my friends and family know about the service I received at Wall Street Pizza. Pros: Hmmm. Cons: Service/management more

Love the pizza 10/8/2009

Just had the pizza about 35 min before this posting. Had a small Hawaiian, cheese bread sticks with marinara and 2 drinks. The service was great and the pizza took a little while to come out, but you have to wait if you want quality. The Canadian bacon is shredded rather in rounds and so you get a good distribution across your whole pizza. Pros: Everythign. i love the pizza!! Cons: If only I lived right next door. more

Wow Kristen sounds like a winner...NOT! 10/10/2008

I was so disturbed by the rediculous entry made by that lunatic Kristen. As if ""mom & pop"" businesses don't have enough trouble staying afloat during hard times...now they have first time guests like Kristen making a bad name for themselves. Your Florence Nightingale digestive tract stories interest no one and probably disgust everyone. Wall Street Pizza is authentic New York style pizza...yeah it is meant to be soggy! The pizza joint is one of Gresham's jewels, and my family has been eating there for years and the only side effect we have ever has is being nausiatingly full. Take your refund...but don't crucify & slander a small business because your organic greens & tofu diet can't handle something a little American. Be much more concerned about your unborn child having a maniac for a mother way above pizza induced birth defects! Pros: Great little place with stellar pizza Cons: Some customers could benefit from a firm kick in the rear more

Good pizza, some bad customers. 9/13/2008

I will never work in food again. My first day was Car Show Day as they called it. The busiest day of the year so said the manager. Pros: Good food, nice workers on a good day Cons: Noisy, lots of teenagers, old building more

Soggy Pizza + Diarreah 8/9/2008

My husband and I took our 2 year old daughter to the Gresham Farmers Market and car show today and ended up popping into Wall Street Pizza for lunch. Pizza sounded good so we ordered a half Wall Street (pepperoni, sausage, onion, etc..) and half Hawaiian. Pros: Video games for kids Cons: diarreah with your pizza more

Nice Surprise 5/17/2008

My wife and I went here on Friday. Looks like a typical pizza joint video games, air hokey, loud teenagers running around. We didn't expect much...we ordered a thin crust Greek with chicken pizza....and DAMN thats some good pizza. We were both impressed and will definitely return to try something else. We used to go to downtown portland Old Town Pizza which is pretty cool atmosphere, but Wall Street is a better pie and closer to home...forget the atmosphere gimme some slices. Pros: great pizza, good for groups, family friendly Cons: loud, kids..... if you don't have them more

Will cure any craving for a true Pizzeria Style pie! 9/5/2007

Always hot, fresh and full of flavor. Cheese, Sauce and Garlic brushed Crust make for the perfect pizza. Salad and entree's just as fresh and plentiful. Fun for kids. Our family loves it here, delivery or dine in, always a treat! Pros: Taste and Value Cons: Extra ""pending"" charges with use of an ATM card. more

My Favorite Pizza--and I rarely like Pizza 5/13/2007

I rarely order Pizza's because I'm really picky about what I eat. I don't like thick crusts that leave me feeling bloated. I don't like bland sauces. I don't like spongy cheap ingredients. I don't like feeling regretful and guilty and sick after I eat Pizza. So I usually avoid it. But Wall Street Pizza has become one of my favorite take-out places. I create Pizza's with gourmet toppings, garlicy white sauces, and the crust is fabulously thin, with the perfectly golden crunchy crust. I eat every bit of each slice, and I always try and talk myself out of a third piece of pizza, to avoid over-eating, and yet---I fail, because it's soooooo good. I've travelled the world and had Pizza in Italy, and New York, and tried other gourmet pizza places, but Wall Street is the perfect balance of quality as well as yummy cheese crispy goodness. I even like their classic peperoni pizza with olives and green peppers. They are my favorite and deserve the best reviews. I'm glad I live near Gresham. Pros: They deliver! Cons: Check their hours before you plan to go there. more

Best pizza anywhere 11/9/2006

Found Wall Street when I was living in Gresham and it's so good it still warrants a drive out from Beaverton. Absolutely the best pizza in town and one of the best deals. For garlic lovers try the garlic rolls with a side of pizza sauce for dipping it's amazing. Pros: pizza, garlic rolls Cons: it's in Gresham more

Yummy!!! 11/3/2005

Have been going to Wall Street Pizza for over 11 years, my husband, myself and our children love it!! Especially the garlic rolls. more

Great pizza! 2/11/2003

We love their pizza!! This is the place in Gresham for pizza. We don't care to eat it there, it can be uncomfortable if crowded but delivery is always quick, courteous and always hot. more
