Wags & Wiggles Dog Day Care is My dogs Home away from home! 10/11/2009

I have been using Wags & Wiggles since 2005. I started with the facilty in Rancho Santa Margarita & I have been using the Tustin facility since they opened because it's close to work. The staff are great! My only complaint is that Sadie doesn't want to leave!! I know she's in good hands with either facility and am thankful for that! more

Wags & Wiggles Dog Day Care is BAD NEWS 8/15/2009

BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG TO WAGS & WIGGLES IN TUSTIN! I went there with my 2 dogs and one of them was viciously attacked by another dog. When I went to pick them up, I was told MY DOG was banned from the facility! When I asked why, Lysa the owner said that my dog was "not a good fit". In addition, she refused multiples requests by me to show me the video of what actually happened. Do you think she just might be hiding something??? Also, one of my dogs violently threw up several times the next day due to something she ate at Wags & Wiggles. If you happen to read this, go anywhere else with your dog besides Wags & Wiggles. more

Wags & Wiggles 9/9/2008

You pay for what you get, and yes it is not cheap. Your pet is well cared for night and day. My dog gets to mingle with other dogs her size and it exercises her to the point where she is nice and mellow when we get her home. We can view the dogs on their web site and have complete confidence in the staff more

First Visit 4/23/2008

I just visited the new Tustin Location with my boxer. Their staff is really amazing. The owner helped ease my mind that daycare was going to be good for my dog. I watched the staff closely and they really seemed to be able to communicate well with the dogs. They taught my dog to go down the slide which was cool. They knew what play was too rough and what was okay. They also answered some of my training questions and I can't wait to take their class. My friend used to work at their rancho location and she said their quanitity of staff was the highest around. Often times there are 5 people in the land of big paws. Other daycares would have 1 or 2 people. She works at a vet now and she says they never see problems from W&W, only other places. It's nice to hear their vet refers only to W&W. So now I am glad to say I am a W&W fan and love to tell everyone. more

They Rock and Others Drool! 4/20/2008

My friend just emailed me this site to review W&W. They literally saved my dog. I talked to Laurie, the owner. My dog was out of control and I was afraid we were going to have to get rid of him. Laurie was so kind, giving, and totally went out of her way to help us. I have to admit I was a little neurotic by the time we called her and she was so patient with me. I had called a couple other trainers and Laurie was the only one who listened to me and was willing to help us without criticizing me. With a combination of private training, daycare, and dayschool my labradoodle is now dearly adored at home. My family was amazed at the difference in his behavior. I know that a lot times people post false information on these review sites just because they are the business's competitors or something. But my story is real and Wags & Wiggles is the best place around for dogs. I've referral tons of people and everyone has said the same thing. The staff is so kind to the people and the more

My Wonderful Experience 4/20/2008

I just read the rest of the reviews here and I wanted to post that I LOVE W&W. I did meet with the owner for a private lesson and I thought she was incredibly supportive and kind. I was doing a lot of things wrong and she had to help me change them. Isn't that why we go? If we continued to do that same things we did before then why pay for a trainer. The clicker training has changed my life and my relationship with my dog. We now take group classes and I love all their instructors. I have been using their daycare after switching from another RSM daycare. Their staff was so much kinder and their facility is much nicer. I watch on their webcam and love watching the staff play with my dog. At the other place, they never even pet the dogs. As for the money, it's only a couple dollars more a day. That's soooo worth it for my dog. My best friend just used their new tustin location for boarding. I went to their Grand Opening and OMG what a cool place! W&W is the best. more

I tried their doggie-day care a few times but was really unimpressed. It seems like they just throw the dogs together with minimal supervision. It's like throwing a bunch of pre-schoolers together in a giant room with one teacher...you know there are going to be some kids getting in trouble somewhere! Also, their prices are pretty high. I considered them for boarding at one point but they're actually more expensive than my vet's boarding and my logic said that at least with my vet, if anything happens they've got people right there to take care of it. more

A Great Place 3/16/2008

This place is pricey, but if you can afford it and your dog passes the screening, he will have a wonderful time here. They love dogs and have been wonderful to my Brittany. She is thrilled every time we pull up to the facility. On March 30, a new facility in Tustin will open and we anxiously await that. Boarding is nice here, with all day playing and just the night spent in a very roomy kennel. We have attended an obedience class and agility class. My dog whines incessantly when she is impatient and during instructional periods with lots of talking she made quite a bit of noise. I did my best to keep her calm with toys and treats and no one said anything about it. It is sad that you were asked to leave with your barking dog. But it is so hard to hear and concentrate on all the instruction, that I'm sure your dog made it very difficult on everyone. They do state that in the materials we get beforehand...that we are expected to keep our dogs quiet. It's a bummer, but it's kind of a fact more

Too critical 8/20/2007

I agree that Wags and Wiggles is good with dogs, and not as good with people. I took my terrier to agility there. He barked, and they told me not to come back. I asked them to help me, wanted to work on it, offered to pay for a private lesson. I would have worked really hard, but they wouldn't even let me. I called another trainer, who has terriers, and she was great with the dog and me! What a difference! more

Trainer is vicious 8/19/2007

The facility and daycare itself is outstanding. The doggies are allowed to run, frolick, and socialize with other dogs of their same size. They have pools, playgrounds, and lots of toys! But, compared to the other daycares, they charge quite a bit more, and I myself, can't afford that. While other facilities charge $25 for the entire day, Wags and Wiggles charges $34. Wow. After awhile, it really adds up. There is usually a huge number of dogs in daycare, and while this may be good for dogs that love other dogs...it is alittle too much for other dogs that enjoy the company of dogs, but prefer human attention.\r \r A couple months ago, I saved up money and had a private lesson with the facility's owner and head trainer. I am a knowledgeable dog owner and handler, and like to take private classes with different trainers to hear and learn about their different techniques and styles to enhance my own, training ability. Best place in OC! 8/2/2006

This is probably the best place in Orange County to find top-quality day or overnight care for your dog. The staff is knowledge and professional, and all of the doggie clients are carefully screened for their social skills, so you don't have to worry about doggie incompatibilities. It is quite pricey, but if you can afford it, you can rest assured that your dog is in excellent hands. more

Doggie Day Care 11/4/2005

This is a fantastic day care center to drop off your pooch for some TLC and exercise to release some of that pent up energy....that is IF you can afford it. It's very expensive, but if you've got the money, it's heaven on earth for your puppies! more
