Best gallery around, They usually have pretty famous artists and change often. Can often get deals to get in for free or at least half off. Great gift shop as well, like most museums. Can spend all day just lost in the galleries admiring the amazing talent of all their great artists. A very good museum for such a small city and centrally located in hartford with lots of good restaurants around and ample metered spots. more

Local art museum 8/20/2005

The wadsworth is a great art museum in hartford. They change their exhibits frequently and have some pretty impresive stuff for a smaller museum. The wadsworth is a staple of hartford culture. They have been around for a long time and connecticut loves the wadsworth. A good place to go at night after a nice dinner in Hartford. more

Impressionism Exhibit at the Wadsworth 8/15/2005

The Wadsworth is a big-city quality museum right in Hartford. The Impressionism exhibit that is currently on display is fantastic, as are the regular pieces. The price is right too - you can spend an entire afternoon among the Masters for the price of a moive! The size, I think, is perfect - I often get overwhelmed in bigger museums, not knowing where to begin. more
