I love voodoo dolls and old dirty bastard's! Any day, any time, anywhere. And yes, I'll take 2 more.

I know people rave about this place but give me a Krispy Kreme any day. Just not my scene, esp with a constant line down the street. more

Completely overrated. Anybody can dip a 4/23/2012

Completely overrated. Anybody can dip a doughnut in cereal and serve it stale. They are not customer friendly and establishments are dirty. Cash only with a broken ATM is inconvenient. I'd much rather have a fresh doughnut, friendly service, clean establishment, and convenient way to pay for a better price. DONE WITH VOODOO. more

Rude Employees to First Time Visitors 8/6/2011

August 6th 3:30pm- We waited in line for 45 minutes in a hot unairconditioned room. Then when we were at the front of the line we were told they were going to shut the line down for a wedding. They said we were free to mingle and wait. At that time about 20 people left. My father who had been very excited to go to VooDoo donuts voiced his displeasure to me. IN RETURN the brown haired lady at the checkstand very rudely said, "" Well the people who are getting married are right behind you and I am sure you really made their day."" If VooDoo Donuts WAS A GOOD RESTAURANT WITH GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE then they would have posted a sign before you waited in line for 45 minutes and also apologized for the wait. more

Just okay. Visit is for the atmosphere. 8/3/2011

Donuts were ok. Tasted like Walmart donuts. When your in line you can see all the proccessed premade bulk products. Aparently they dont make anything fresh. My wife and I enjoyed ourselves even with the wait in line. Dont try the cake donuts. They were horrible. The raised donuts are better but tasted like walmart or albertsons donuts. Like I said you go for the atmosphere not the food. more

I took my friends from out of town to their downtown location and they were so impressed. Keep it up guys. more

Cultural Phenomenon 2/20/2011

These are definitely some of the best doughnuts around. Just the site of the big pink box at work and you know your morning is suddenly going to start a whole lot better. Voodoo Doughnut has grown into a cultural phenomenon in Portland, even making headlines in Food Network. Only complaint is that the lines get oppressively long sometimes late at night downtown, and it seems like no one's in a hurry. I am! I want that doughnut! more

Great Doughnuts! 2/18/2011

Bacon and maple. Need I say more. more

Tangfastic doughnuts, cool shop, lines need to go! 1/31/2011

This was quite hard, because I like the doughnuts so much, but I don't like waiting in huge lines. I know, I know. You're saying ""so go to the Sandy location!"" I did. Two separate times, and they were out of the doughnuts I like. However, all of this can be forgiven for one of their Mango Tangos or Old Dirty Bastards. Very good and inventive place, to sum it up, but they really need to hire more people and do something about those frigging lines. more

What is all the fuss about? 1/5/2011

So since we moved to Portland we have seen SO much publicity for Voodoo and couldn't wait to go there. We even went later at night since that is what the advertise! Well the case was 1/2 empty, the line took forever (and it wasn't even that long) and the donuts were just ok. Actually a little dry. And I don't think we got anything incredibly strange, which is what they are known for! So an avg donut on the dry side???? Not worth the visit. more

They don't take pennies. 1/5/2011

I went to voodoo doughnuts the other day and it was pathetic. I usually don't write reviews, but I was compelled to after my experience. I was served by a rude woman with a self proclaimed dislike for doughnuts. She said"" she just liked the job, not the doughnuts."" So, if being rude to people is your thing, then this is the job for you. As for the doughnuts they were nothing special. Cool box, but poor quality doughnuts. Don't waste your time. Our bill was 12.05, but they don't take pennies. That's right they don't take American Currency. When you are on television I guess you don't have to take change. more

don't waste your time 1/3/2011

Twice now I've been to voodoo and both times I have bitten into a doughy uncooked donut. Seriously, this is the only donut place I've ever been to that sucks. Who sells raw donuts. These people obviously don't have there act together. more

Best dognuts ever! 10/19/2010

A foodie trip to Portland is not complete until you bask in the warm glow of the sugar rush from a VooDoo Doughnut. Be prepared to wait for the exotic bacon Maple Bars. They go as fast as they come out in the case! more

The Magic truly is in the Hole 4/16/2010

Love this place. Usually when traveling home to California I am required to deliver at least 3 dozen random donuts to my family & friends there. While you can find donuts everywhere part of the charm is the unique staff (we are in Portland after-all) and the establishment itself. Its not dirty or gross as some have stated in their reviews. You just require an open mind to appreciate their non corporate appeal. Pros: Eclectic Environment, Real People more

Voodoo Attutude 3/16/2010

Yay! smelly hipsters with bad attitudes serving doughnuts! Pros: creative sugar combos? Cons: price / quality :0( more

Don't Be A Chump: Save Your Money 2/25/2010

The only people who go to Voodoo Doughnut are tourists and suckers who have actually bought into the whole schtick of this place. As if they're selling some secret, special pastry that only Portland has. IT'S A DOUGHNUT, PEOPLE - get over yourselves. There is nothing adventurous about getting an average doughnut with a wacky name served in a wacky way. If you actually stand in line for one of these things: you definitely need to get out more. Pros: It's a donut alright. Cons: Why is everyone in line? more
