Whether its the Village Special Obento Luch Box, the Jamaica Plain Maki (Salmon, Cream Cheese, and Cucumber), Teriyaki Swordfish Steak, or just Miso Soup, everything at Village Sushi is great. The seafood is fresh and tasty -- you almost don't need the ginger, tamari, or wasabi (though it is very good with these condiments). I also like the chopsticks -- a minor detail for some, but too often (at other restaurants) they split or splinter; the ones here are smooth and solid, making it easy for those who are chopstick-phobic to east their sushi and sashimi.
Parking in Roslindale Center can sometimes be tough, but Village Sushi is worth driving around the block a few times for a parking space -- and definitely worth the drive from where I live (near Rt. 495/Mass Pike). Highly recommended!
Pros: Variety, Great Value, Comfortable
Cons: Parking
