Crappy food and service 4/2/2010

The only thing good about this restaurant was it had a beautiful view. I was hoping to have a nice romantic evening with my lady and neither one of us had good food. She had chicken alfredo and the chicken was nasty and processed and the noodles were not cooked very well. I had veal and veggies and the veal was hard to chew and the veggies were not cooked hardly at all. It took till after we got our food before we got our drinks and our waiter had forgotten about it. And not to mention how overly priced everything was!!! It would have been better to bring McDonald's and sit in the car and look at the view! Pros: The view was beautiful Cons: Not much was good about the place more

Been dissapointed everytime 3/3/2009

This is the last time I'll be dissapointed by Verrazano's. Spent fifty seven dollars (including tip) on two plates of shrimp scampi. The shrimp were small and few. The pasta portion was very small. The scampi sauce was not good. Both of us ate the shrimp and threw out the rest. Looks like I'll be getting the grill out tonight. Very Dissapointed. Pros: Great view Cons: Overpriced, Bad foof more

Fantastic View 3/12/2008

I decided to try out Verrazanos last weekend and I was pleasantly surprised, first of all the view was absolutely breathtaking. I found it hard to believe that there was such a great view of Puget Sound from anywhere in Federal Way. Me and my husband both love Italian food and I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty everything was. I ordered the Pollo Involtino which was amazing. I normally don't care for dishes with cream sauces but this was not overly creamy like I would have expected. \r \r Everything about our experience was enjoyable. If you do go to Verrazanos ask for Sarah as your server. She was knowledgable about the food and wine (good wine list by the way) and she made our experience just that much better. I can't wait to go back! more

Best Service, Best Sunset Views and Old World Charm 9/25/2007

Went to Verrazanos with 7 of my out-of-town colleagues and what a fabulous experience. The breathtaking sunset/sound views kept our business dinner grounded. The attentive and personable waiter who kept silent when we were chatting and made us laugh when we weren't. Everything from the extensive wine selection to Xtra, Xtra large pizzas to flavorful pastas and fresh shell fish makes this Italian gem perfect for business dinners and romantic nights out a must ! Pros: Service, Views and Food Cons: Federal Way more

""fishy"" shrimp and bad service 4/30/2007

Never again will I return to this place. To start, the service was bad. We had to wait for someone to recognize that we were seated, my husband had to wait 10 minutes for a drink from the bar (the bar was dead) and the food was terrible. I ordered a pasta, but added prawns. The shrimp arrived as fishy as can be. I had to send it back and asked for chicken instead. The chicken seemed processed and not like a real breast.. \r This place is far from romantic with kids near by and the lack of privacy at the tables. I think this place needs to figure out if they are going to be a ""romantic"" place for and older crowd or for families. It was such an odd combination... Oh, and the prices are laughable. I'd rather go to Olive Garden. Pros: Good Wine List - This would be a good wine bar Cons: Food, Ambience, Service...etc. more

the best chef 3/28/2007

very nice and good food, tutto buono very nice ambient.\r the best filetto al barolo with black truffle. more

Really nice italian restaurant 11/16/2006

Verrazano's is nice suburban italian restaurant located on Pacific Highway on the northside of Federal Way. The pasta dishes are very good and they really know how to prepare and present veal. Nice wine list and a full bar. The wait staff act as though they've been there a long time and do a superb job. With this quality there's little reason to travel to downtown Seattle. Pros: Food, wait staff, view Cons: Could afford an interior remodel more

try the pizza 1/20/2005

One of the best pizzas around. East coast style cooked in a brick oven...mmmmmm delicious Pros: view, food, service more

Incredible view! 12/12/2003

We've eaten here many times. A little pricy but the view is fabulous. The shrimp appetizer is delicious, sometimes (not consistenly). The Penne Arrabiatta has always been good. Since we live in Kent, it's the best italian restaurant we've found around. Pros: view, atmosphere Cons: not consistent more

Little spendy - but worth it 12/26/2002

The atmosphere was great. Can accomodate both a romantic dinner for two or family gathering. Kid friendly (no kid menu) but service was great. Food was FABULOUS. A little expensive but worth it. Seafood was fresh and steak tender. Highly recommend to friends and family. Also, be sure to go just before sunset for the great view! Pros: View, Variety in Menu, Ambiance Cons: Expensive, No Kid's Menu more

Great view/friendly place 8/18/2002
