Good Food served here 2/15/2008

Vasquez is a very nice restaurant, owned by one family who all work there. Friendly people, with a big menu. Quick to serve, never have to wait long. Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend stopping there anytime, lunch or dinnertime. more

Great Spot to Stop 7/28/2005

Vazquez is a great spot to try in Downtown Covington. They honestly have just about every type of variety on the menu from cuban meals to chicken nuggets and veal parmesean in between. This is a locally owned restaurant. The service is fantastic and the employees/owners are super friendly. It's in a great central location of downtown Covington. The cuban sandwich is awesome. You can't beat the fried fish and their super club is great too! more

HistoryVazquez Restuaraunt came out of a deli in a grocery store in New Orleans, Lousiana 30 years ago.25 years ago we branched out to the North Shore in Convington, Lousiana.To this day we maintiain the same values and home cooked food. Authentic Cuban FoodHow do we know cuban food?Vazquez Restaurant is a family owned resturant and we are 100 % cuban.We were born in Cuba, and raised in Lousiana.A lot of people americanize cuban food by adding mayonaise and grilled onions on cuban sandwhich.We are from cuba and know this is not an authtenic cuban sandwich.We are the home of the "original" cuban sandwich.
