Varley's Auto & Performance

I would like to say to all these people who feel they were done wrong by varleys. As being a Mechanic of 30 + yrs . Things don't always as planned , Once you start removing parts other damaged parts are revealed. Prime Example"" My car is over heating"". my initial thought would b water pump or thermostat, ( fixed both its still over heating) turns out system needed flushed. There is know way to tell what the problem is until you start working on the car. So be glad your going to varley because if you brought to me. I would change out everything on the cooling system to eliminate all doubt , when in fact it could have been only a 2 dollar part and 30 dollars in labor you now owe me 450.00 and as for the lady needing a wheel if you bent your wheel it was not a minor accident just because it didn't do much body damage only means your wheel took the blunt force which means other things could be bent and yes the one and only one strut would be bent as for alignment the alignment was out soon as you had your minor accident and im sure if varley didn't do alignments he told you to get it aligned further more like I said I would have changed out everything to leave no doubt @ $ 1650.00 . sounds to me like varley is only guilty of being FAIR to the working person . more

varley fixed the wrong thing and refused to believe me when i told them my car had the same problem after they worked on it. they took an extended christmas vacation and after they returned said the problem was something else and wanted to charge more to fix what needed to be fixed in the first place (about 1/2 as much as the erroneous work they had already done). they never apologized or admitted that they made a mistake, just kept saying over and over, ""well, the thing we fixed needed to be fixed and we thought that was what was causing the problem"". offered no resolution to their mistake. i would not recommend varley. more

I've been taking my cars to Varley's for the last 5 years. Anything that I've needed from oil changes to a new transmission they've done in a timely manner and have always guaranteed their work. They've always had the best prices and never been anything but honest with me about what my car did or did not need. More often than not if he said it would be a couple of days it was usually done by the next day. I personally don't take my cars anywhere else for anything. I wouldn't hesitate to use Varley's for all your mechanical needs. Pros: honest, fair prices, dependable guaranteed work more

I am writing this review to let anyone know, especially females, not to go to any mechanic - especially varley's - alone. A few weeks ago, I submitted my car for repair after I had been in a minor wreck, needing a new tire, and for it to be remounted. I told them I needed my struts replaced as well, not knowing that any REPUTABLE company never just replaces one single strut, they at least need to replace the front two. They told me with all the ""honey'' and ""darlin"" they could muster that only the ONE needed replaced, that all the rest were perfectly fine. Being single, and not having anyone else (like, oh I don't know, the people supposed to HELP you) to give me the correct advise, I was content with the observation. I left my car overnight, to be awoken to 'him' complaining that my strut was jammed in there, that he had never worked on anything more strenuous, and I had better be grateful that "" I like you so much, doll"". Of course they 'uncovered' more problems... new CV joint, control arm, strut mount. So, all in all, after 5 days of lying, my car run TWICE as worse as it did before. I had to get another alignment because i could barely keep it on the road. (another $100) And, ALL the struts are so obviously broken I feel more angry at myself for letting them screw me out of 922 DOLLARS!!! DO NOT GIVE MONEY TO THIEVES! STAY AWAY!!! -Rachel M.
