Good ambience, steep prices 10/21/2005

The Valley River Inn is probably one of the premier hotels in Eugene, but comes at a price. The rooms are on average $100 which is high for this city. You do get a nice view of the Willamette River, and there is a nice restaurant called Sweet Waters inside the hotel which has some great Sunday breakfast buffets. more

Good Sunday Brunch Location 9/16/2005

The Valley River Inn has a restaurant called Sweet Waters which is great for Sunday brunches. It's fairly expensive, around $20 per person, but probably the most scenic location in Eugene (right along the Willamette River). Be sure to ask for outdoor seating, and arrive early. more

Rivaled only to the downtown Hilton, but has the edge of Eugene’s best accommodation due to its wonderful river front views. Guest also have near access to a running path that parallels the Willamette River for miles. The Inn plays host to many conferences and events and I believe whenever a famous person comes to Eugene (say, Tom Cruise), they stay there. more
