oki. i hear lots of stuff about mamma santas and other pizza places. i respect them, but if you really want to go to the right pizzaplace, please try valentinos. pizza is my life.. i remember when Mike, my dad brought home a small plain cheese just for me. i cant go a week with out pizza.. and all other pizza i try tastes disgusting compared to the complete beauty and outstanding taste valentinos offers in every bite. we cherish every customer, and no one leaves unhappy. come, have a slice. its worth it. way better than the place across the street :) Pros: best food, patio Cons: NONE AT ALL more

For an excellent pizza, sub or salad go to Valentino's 12/9/2009

Mike Iammarino is the proud owner of this establishment. His paternal grandmother Theresa ( of Theresa's restaurant) was the first woman to bring pizza to Cleveland. She trained all of her family on how to make Italian dishes that she learnt from her grandmother & Mike is doing his best to follow her example. As far as I am concerned he is doing a superb job & has the BEST pizza, made from fresh homemade sauce & fresh homemade dough, subs and salads...Mikes a wonderful chef & his talents shine in his preparation & presentation of his entrees. Bona Appetito! Pros: BEST pizza in Cleveland Cons: limited parking more

Best pizza ever. 10/26/2007

Best pizza ever. My favorites are Pepperoni or Canadian Bacon. My roommate worked at the competing pizzeria Mama Santa's. They're both good, but valentino's has the best sauce of all time. more

Browns or Steelers, Yankees or Red Sox, Mama Santa or Valentino's...it's one or the other! 8/21/2007

Like the title suggests, people seem to love one or the other of these rival pizza shops in the Little Italy neighborhood. For me, Mama Santa is the winner...hands down!!! I have tried Valentino's a few times and found it to be drastically overpriced considering it tastes like frozen pizza. If you like the bland, flat, stone oven type of pizza, you may be happy. I'll eat anything and I LOVE pizza, but Mama Santa's sauce makes this a no contest. Plus, Valentino's is more than double the price for a large pie. While the service is typically unfriendly at Mama Santa, especially the girls behind the counter...you'll be happier with the food. more

THE BEST PIZZA IN OHIO!!!!!!!!! 4/10/2007

This is THE Pizza of Little Italy 12/18/2006

I discovered Valentino's before I moved to the neighborhood and recommend it constantly to people. The pizza is delicious, the thin crust is amazing. The sausage (which is homemade) and onion pizza is a true treat! The pizza sauce is a little on the sweet side, to die for! The salads all come with an amazing homemade dressing that is out of this world! I could drink it! I know people who buy jars of it, just be careful, it is all homemade, no preservatives, so use it quickly. The subs and dinners are excellent, generous helpings and not overwhelemed with sauce. It is take out year round and the wait is so reasonable. There is outdoor seating in the summer and the prices, well you cannot go wrong with them. The staff is all super friendly and nice and the owner is lucky to have them. They all work hard and make it a great expereince, all the way around! So when you see all those suckers standing in line at Mama Santa's tell them to put away the Tum's and head down the street to Valentino's! Pros: Great food, resaonable prices, super friendly staff Cons: Parking, it's Little Italy more

Best authentic-style Pizza 8/9/2006

I read in the papers about it and immediately checked it out the following day....and I absolutely do not regret it!!! I tried the white pizza with artichoke, and my husband tried the eggplant parmesan, and both of us were really amazed by our meals....\r I recommend it for any real Pizza gourmand: the pizza is italian style thin crust, and the taste/seasoning of the sauce and the cheese is just perfect!! Pros: Fresh and yummy ingredients Cons: no real nice place to sit and enjoy more

The Best! 1/13/2006

Valentino's is the best neighbor you could ask for. I love the pizza; my roomates love the sandwiches; We walk there all the time. The price is great, and the service is excellent. I've never walked into a pizza place before and been greated by my first name! Valentino's is hands down the best take-out restaurant in the city. Pros: great service, inexpensive, excellent food Cons: not open on sunday more

Beats the number one pizzeria!! 5/6/2003

Another pizzeria in Little Italy has won the best awards for best pizza in cleveland.. I and a lot of people I know find that that award needs to go to Valentino's! It's got the best pizza, the best subs, and awesome pasta dishes.. and the best part is, you dont have to wait for a million hours to get seated.. the ambiance section is not applicable b/c it isnt a sit down place except for summer.. but other than that, it's great.. forget mama's! go to Valentino's! Pros: price, speed of service, quality Cons: no seating indoors more

Even better than Mama Santas! 8/13/2002

We lived in the neighborhood for several years before finding this wonderful pizza. No eat in (as I recall) but generous toppings and great crust! Pros: Great food, reasonably priced Cons: tough parking, no eat in more

Unbelievable pizza 8/5/2002

There is no question as to the best pizza in town - the people who voted for other places just haven't tried Valentinos yet. The crust is awesome, and you can get white pizzas too, unlike most other places. The hours are a little odd b/c its a family business - I wouldn't trust just anyone with the recipe either! There is even a patio outside. Highly recommended Pros: the best more
