I've used these guys since 2001 and they have always charged appropriately, but they must be in financial trouble because they're gauging me for a job. They moved 3' of a gas line for a firepit over one foot, capped off a cleanout and put a new one in the same line 1' away (this area was exposed, no digging required). The bill? $1095!! $875 for labor (2 guys 8 hours, but should have been 1 guy, max 4 hours), and $220 for parts (ex. of markup: $8.50 for 1/2 x 6"" galv. pipe that sells at Home Depot for $1.69). Spoke about this to Val Ramos, who is nastiness itself. Repeatedly told me that I'm not a plumber and don't know what I'm talking about. However, I am an architect and have worked for years with plumbers and have done my share of the work. Unfortunately, Val Ramos Plumbing Inc. is a shadow of the company it used to be. Save yourself and find someone-ANYONE else.
Cons: 200%-500% markup on parts, milked the clock on labor
