I have been going to Dr. Ramsi ever since he started out with Dr. Kroll in Dunmore. You won’t find a more caring and compassionate Vet ever!!! He is very good at what he does. Bac...

I think Dr. Noto WAS a good vet. He built this beautiful new center that WE are paying for. His prices truly did go through the roof. You are hassled from the begin to end about b...

Scammed!!! 4/11/2017

My daughter was scammed at this place!!!!\r She bought the monthly payment plan that included all the cats regularly routine visits. And they charged her an extra $100. \r It says rite in the contract paper work from the veterinarian that the charge is included. The secretary said the paper/contract that my daughter signed must have a mistake written in it and charged her an extra $100 on top of what she pays every month!!!! more

hard day they made impossible 10/31/2011

My wife and I recently made the painful decision to put our 8 year old Cane Corso mastiff down; after watching him fight pnuemonia for almost a year. We called VCA to make the appt last week, and they asked when would be good for us...(getting tougher here), we scheduled the appt for sat 10/29/11. So we go there and the receptionist takes our info and they escort us into a room, and proceed to ask us a battery of Q's about his health (really tough). So after about 10 minutes Dr. Talaga comes in and proceeds to Question us, and exam our dog (my breaking point); after 10 minutes of this my wife asks if she knows why we are there. We had to tell her that we were there to put him down after his battle with poor health. The Dr. takes our dog into the other room and they escort us to the "goodbye" room, a minute later they send the receptionist to settle our bill before our dogs departure..at a time when my only concern was with my dog.\r they made a tough day, impossible. more

Money hungry 4/10/2011

this place is nothing but money hungry brought in our 10 week old puppy for and exam and what ever shots he needed they told me to bring in a stool sample to make a long story short they told me he was to young for shots that I would have to bring him back in 2 weeks I said I needed to get him a rabbies shot Because I had puppy classes and grooming scheduled after telling them I really need the rabbies the dr gave it to him. I get the bill when I was checking out 117.00 was the cost for a lousy rabbie shot and the stool sample was like 50 dollars. And they told me neaurting would be 480.00 there crazy. Soon as I left I called citywide gave all his shots 60.00 dollars and neaurting 160.00 anybody looking for a vet in Scranton area don't go here. Go to citywide in dicksoncity more

Only 2 good doctors 3/8/2011

Listen, Dr, Falzone and Dr. Talaga (newest addition) are fantastic doctors and are extremely thorough. And, as a plus, their personalities are wonderful. As for Dr. Ramsi....he will start doing tests and what not before giving you prices. Before you know it, you have a $500 invoice. And just like one of the other rewiews mentioned, I too have heard Dr. Ramsi yell at the technicians. I can't even imagine what they could possibly do to get yelled at. Let them do their job because he can't! This man is HARRASSING the technicians and nothing is being said. I would never go here again unless he was out of town. more

Quality Vets and a great staff!! 2/11/2011

Recently I sent a friend to VCA. He rescued a cat that became seriously ill. Dr. Falzone and the staff went out of there way to insure the cat had a chance for survival. Additionally, Dr. Falzone called with test results on Christmas Eve because she wanted to make sure to give the good news that the cat was improving. She even called weekly to check on the progress of the cat. This hospital is committed to quality service. They go above and beyond everyday. Don't be confused by others reviews. This hospital delivers great care consistently. They are very thorough and you would be hard pressed to find more knowledgeable vets or a more caring staff. more

Price doesn't buy quality care 1/25/2011

I resent the comment made by someone here that lower costs vets are inexperienced. I have been going to the same vet for years in Clarks Summit and he's wonderful...and I don't pay HALF the price I've seen people pay at Dunmore. I've had friends change vets that were going to Dunmore because they ran extra tests just to up the charges. Their prices are ridiculous to begin with. more

Great Quality...worth the money, Experience is top of the line! 12/10/2010

Listen don't get a pet if you can't afford the prices to take care of it. \r \r You pay for the decades of experience of trusted vets. If you really want to put your dog or cat through surgery with a new inexperience vet that has a low survival rate...go ahead. Save some money. \r \r If you truly love your animal then you wouldn't be worried about costs. They run a high class hospital with surpb quality. By far one of the best hospitals in this region of PA. more

Who cares about the price 12/4/2010

not sure what any of you are talking about. dr. ramsi is the most compassionate vet out there. he truly cares about all of the animals. yes the prices are high but you pay for what you get. if you don't like the prices go somewhere else don't complain about them on a chat board and give the business bad reviews. i take both of my dogs there and would not change for anything. i've seen the way some of the vet's offices are run and it's a nightmare. if you have the money i wouldn't recommend anyone else. more

not too bad 1/9/2010

$5 for "medical waste" and $15 for a nail trim PLUS an almost $50 exam fee is hardly what I would call in line with prices at other local vets. My last vet had a lower exam fee and didn't even charge for "medical waste" and a nail trim. The staff is OK but the prices are high. more

Dr. Falzone 10/28/2009

This hospital is wonderful. They have a great staff with caring and compassionate veterinarians. I have taken my dog and cats to Dr. Falzone for a few years now. She is very thorough and has a great bedside manner. Also, Dr. Falzone does not set the prices for this hospital. She is not the owner and VCA sets the prices. VCA has very reasonable costs and are comparable to other clinics in the area. Dr. Falzone truly cares about animals. I highly recommend her to everyone. more

Dr Falzone 9/24/2009

My husband and I really like Dr. Falzone at VCA. She has been wonderful with our Schnoodle. Her surgery was flawless. She is very kind and has wonderful bedside manner (unlike what another comment stated). I would recommend to everyone. more

Unsatisfactory 5/10/2009

Doctors over charge, have no bedside manner, especially Dr. \r Falzone and Dr. Ramsi. They are just in this business for the money. All the original caring and compassionate staff has moved on and I as a client for many years am leaving as well. more

The best animal hospital around 7/29/2008

Last week I had an appointment at Dunmore Animal Hospital with my cat. That day my cat seemed very lethargic and wasn't eating or drinking. I usually bring my pets to Citywide Animal Hospital, but they would not give me an appointment that day. By the way, this is about the fourth time one of my pets has been really sick and Citywide refused me a visit. A friend of mine suggested I call the vet she uses, Dr. Ramsi Chaudhari, instead of going to the emergency clinic. I called Dunmore Animal Hospital and without hesitation they told me to bring my cat right in. Dr. Chaudhari treated him and he was back to normal within a couple days. The tech that was in the room with us was named Sara and she was very caring and assured me that everything would be alright even when I didn't think it would be. Also, the girls at the front desk actually took the time to speak with me on my way out and ask me how everything went during the exam-something that never happens at Citywide as they just want to more

No more.... 6/24/2008

All the nice people are gone and what is left is miserable techs and a doctor that over medicates. It seems like VCA got rid of all the good people and left the bad. Go somewhere else! more

Dr. Robert J. Noto 4/14/2008

Dr. Noto has been a life saver with my cat. He is 18 yrs. old. Four years ago he was losing weight, Dr. Noto noticed it immediately and did blood work. The cats kidney's were in renal failure. Dr. Noto suggested IV fluid treatments. We have been taking him twice a week for the past four years. He has regained his weight and his blood work and kidney's are fine. I feel very confident having him as our vet. His staff treats us wonderful. The prices have made it possible for us to continue the cat's treatment.. Thanks to Dr. Noto and his caring staff our cat is doing fine. more

DR NOTO 4/14/2008

I think Dr Noto is the BEST VET in the area. People think that he is one of the owners of the Dunmnore Dog and Cat. Not true, he just worked there. He had nothing to do with setting the prices, he only followed the rules. My opinion is that he cares more about the animals then he does the money. I have never met a more caring human being then Dr Noto.If you truly love your pet and want the best Dr Noto is the one you want. more

Dr. Noto is a wonderful vet.................. 4/4/2008

Just wanted to share my views on Dr. Noto.\r He is the greatest doctor around. He has been my vet for many many years. He is so dedicated .\r He is # 1. more

Unscrupulous Vet will overcharge you, Do NOT go here ever 3/26/2008

Be warned, this is the worst veterinary clinic I have ever been to. The Vet overcharges you and tries to get tests that are unneccesary and then doesn't follow up with the results. Highly unethical and unscrupulous. I am surprised that this clinic is still in business and that he has not been reported to the vet board. \r \r The receptionist was incredibly rude and unkind. The only positive thing was the vet tech, but I felt sorry for the staff. They all seemed unhappy to work there. I should have trusted my gut instinct and walked out of the place because I didn't get a good feeling about the place. Much to my regret, we did stay and totally got hosed in the process. Not only that, my dog got extremely sick afterward because he overmedicated her. \r \r After this traumatic experience, we were afraid to go to another vet but found Dr. Paws and love them. All the positive review here seems to be written by the same person. \r \r THIS IS THE WORST PLACE TO TAKE YOUR PET. more

Dunmore Pet Health Center 3/24/2008

I think that Dr. Noto is a decent Doctor. I think that the hospital he chooses to associate himself with is beneath him. The owner and the Staff there are all money hungry. I recently heard that Dr. Chaudhari Quoted a rabbit neuter to be $400. That is a rip off. Even if they tell you they use Laser for the procedure, all that does is make the tissue necrotic and it has a higher chance for infection. At any other experienced Vet. a rabbit neuter wouldn't be more than $100. It is a 5 minute procedure that costs less than 50 cents to do. Who ever would pay that price has something wrong with them because you can't even guarantee that a Doctor will be administering the gas anesthesia. The Technicians pull the the Anesthetic and administer it with out the doctors figuring out the doses which makes it even higher risk because your animal is more likely to be overdosed and it has happened at that hospital. Dr. Chaudhari does nothing for himself, even if law tells him that he can have a licens more

Thank You Dunmore Pet Health Center and Dr. Noto!!!!! 3/20/2008

When noone else could help me, I called Dr. Noto at Dunmore. It was a weekend evening and not a single other vet in the area answered the phone. Dr. Noto not only answered but came right in and helped us. The care was fantastic and the costs were very reasonable. A bit more than some other hospitals, but where else can you get a doctor almost 24-7? Dr. Noto really cared for my pet. He was so nice. The medical care there is top notch. I will never go anywhere else. (P.S.--to the other reviewer who complained about the prices....I found out that Dr. Noto is not the owner and does not set any prices.) I met a lot of the staff and the other doctors later on and every single person there was incredibly nice and helpful. The hospital is very modern and very clean. Thank You Dr. Noto and everyone at Dunmore Pet Health Center!! more
