Awesome 5/17/2010

I have to say that I found Dr. Werber to be absolutely incredible with our cat. He took his time with us during the appointment, shared a lot of knowledge and clearly he loves like crazy. It's true that the services aren't inexpensive? more

Response to Barkworks 5/17/2010

As a pet owner, it is YOUR responsibility to look into your future pet's pedigree. Dr. Werber does not work in conjunction with pet stores. Rather, he offers "pro-bono" services to assist new pet owners with the cost of veterinary care. He does not help breed the animals, nor does he profit from offering these services. Dr. Werber LOVES animals more than anything. This explains why he graduated TOP in his class from UC Davis and has been taking care of animals for over 25 years. It is SLANDER to write such emotional comments to ruin this veterinarian's reputation when he works pro-bono with rescues across Los Angeles, donates thousands to animal charities and has dedicated his life to caring for animals. You should be ashamed of yourself for trying to ruin this talented vet's reputation because you, as a pet owner, did not do your research and are upset your dog has a genetic illness. Do unto others as you would like them to do to you. If you are upset with Barkworks, then go talk to them and leave unrelated others out of it. more

Great Vet 5/10/2010

Dr. Jeff Werber sees my animals and he is great with them! He really seems to care about them and spends time getting to know them. Dr. Jeff also answers all of our questions and eases our fears. He is down to earth and makes you and your pet(s) feel comfortable. Even though he is a really busy guy, he never seems to rush our visits and makes sure we are taken care of. CVG can be a little on the pricy side for vets, but the quality of care is mostly excellent. I took my cats to get spayed & neutered at the clinic/shelter where they were rescued (because it was free/included in their adoption fee). The atmosphere there was so scary and the service was a bit gritty. CVG is the exact opposite and I could never see myself bringing my animals anywhere else!? more

Love it 5/5/2010

If you have a dog and are in Mid City/Culver City/West LA, I really want to recommend Dr. Werber. I have never even had one of my own doctors be as genuinely concerned about my own well being as this vet was with my dog. I'm really surprised with some of the bad reviews here. Yes, I probably waited 30 to 40 minutes past my appointment time (although I did have to fill out new patient paperwork and have my dog's records faxed from my previous vet) before being seen. However, Dr. Werber proceeded to spend the better part of an hour with me and my dog making sure his diagnosis and prescription was right. My dog had been having some very serious seizures. I would have waited for an entire day, however, to get the kind of treatment that I received at this vet. My dog is a good friend and family member to me, so to complain about a wait or this vet not being the least expensive to me seems silly. Would we say that about a doctor's visit for our child? He addressed every one of my concerns, explained my dog's history (which he got from my other vet) in a way that my other vet never had, and even picked up his mobile and called a colleague who was an expert ON THE SPOT when I raised concerns about a particular treatment (to make sure it was safe and appropriate). My dog is a pit bull mix who is very skiddish around new people and particularly dislkes vets. By the time we left, Dr. Werber was kneeling down petting my dog (my dog even let the doctor put his hands in his mouth) and my dog was loving it. When the doctor stood up, my dog laid down at his feet. This is a man who you can instantly tell really knows his stuff and absolutely loves animals and what he does. The office staff both on the phone and in the office were friendly and professional. The office itself is the nicest veterinary facility I have ever been in: up to date equipment; bright and comfortable more

Dr. Werber enables Barkworks Pupppy mills 5/4/2010

Good: Dr Werber is a skilled, although over-priced Veterinarian.. Bad: The fact that he enables Barkworks, a known Puppy mill supplier to our community, with thousands of dollars in savings every month by treating barkworks dogs at cost in exchange for all of their sales referrals. He makes a killing. Barkworks makes a killing on your poorly bred and often horribly raised puppy. Google Barkworks exposed.. Improvements: That he simply cut all ties with Barkworks.. Other: If you work for Werber. Take two weeks off, then quit. Do you really want to contribute to a doctor that enables Barkworks to sell everyone puppy mill puppies. Wake up and smell the cruelty. Google Barkworks Dead Dog.. more

DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMAL HERE 4/22/2010

This is absolutely the worst place to bring your dog. they have a drop off service and i dropped my dog off at 10am and then was told to pick him up at 3pm. my dog had a case of the runs for a few days and they charged me $411.00 and i arrived at 3pm and waited 1hr 45min to get my dog.. i ended up walking out because the dog was dehydrated and going crazy to get out of there..they did not give the dog water all day..i hike sometimes 3 miles with my dog and he didnt drink as much as he drank when i got him home..poor excuse for a vet...do not bring your dog to this place... more

Wont go anywhere else 3/2/2010

I wouldnt go anywhere else! Dr. Jeff is awesome. I have a bloodhound who has always been prone to ear infections he had seen over 15 vets and though it would get a little better it would always be there and after several thousand dollars I was fed up. A friend told me about Century so I figured what the heck right! My apt was on a Sunday with Dr Jeff and I only had to wait long enough to fill out the new client forms. Dr Werber spent the first 5 min playing with my dog (who usually tries to bite his past vets..too many bad visits I guess) this was something I had never seen at a vet visit, and I thought hey cool he actually likes the animals. All in all u had him update his shots, clean his ears, told him he was chewing his paws (we got a foot soak in office, and meds), and antibiotics for a tiny cut on his foot (from chewing) along with shampoo, shed free spray (smells amazing by the way), first aid spray, ear cleaner, And ear drops. This stuff wasn't pushed on my I asked for the shampoos and after spray because it's made such a difference on my friends dog.. So with the exam fee and all that stuff I left with a bill of 249.32 not too bad I'd say in reality I was thinking it would be around 700. Dr.Jeff spent 45 min with my pup taking care of and gaining our trust. I'll never go anywhere else. As for the front staff they were all very friendly and enjoyed visiting with my dog! more
