My favorite restaurant 7/26/2009

Usmania is my favorite restaurant, the service, food is excellent, try the royal tikka combo plate, it is the best food you will ever have! The ice cream is home made and excellent, I travel a long way for this food and I am never dissapointed. Treat yourself and go with your family to the new Everett location. Another comment-my opinon is some of the other reviewers are competitors in the area. Don't listen to them, the food is excellent. Pros: Lets see... everything I have tried Cons: nothing more

over priced and bad attitude 12/30/2008

I recently ate at the restaurant called usmania in Mill Creek and the food was really not that great... they were overpriced and on top of that the waiter absolutely didn't know how to act and behave. bad attitude!!I No wonder no one goes and eats at their restaurant. don't recommend this place to anyone who wants to keep their respect and not pay 10 dollars for a drink. absurd!!! Pros: parking Cons: ambience service waitor food more

Well below expectations 6/24/2007

I am new to the area and was really excited after reading all the reviews regarding this place. However, I was quite disappointed with the dishes I ordered. One of the dishes did not even resemble india/pakistani cuisine. I would suggest that people who want to try this restaurant should explore the buffet to identify dishes they like. more

Wowsa! Yummy suprise! 4/13/2007

This place is absolutely delicious! My fiance makes me go there, and make the drive out from Seattle, which is so worth it. The food seems so lovingly prepared, and the meats are seasoned with delicious flavor. Everything is so fresh, you won't find better tandoori naan. I've had the kebabs, the curries, and there is still so much more on the menu that I want to try. Pros: Naan bread, lots of variety and it is all good! Cons: In Mill Creek more

New 2009 Review of Usmania -- Still Great! 4/9/2007

I've visited Usmania a number of times since my 2007 review & am glad to say that my experience has not changed since. Each visit has resulted in great food, pleasant & friendly wait staff (including an appreciative table-side visit by the chef/owner) & fast service. Out-of-town guests familiar with similar cuisine were likewise pleased as they took the almost shocking ;-) opportunity to order a sampling of almost every dish on the menu. Our most recent visit , in December 2008, resulted in an excellent Hummus w/ hot, crispy Naan, Saag Paneer ($8.95 for entire meal including rice pilau and vegetables) and Lamb Boti Kebab ($10.95 including rice pilau & vegetables). Having had both the Lamb Boti (chunks of marinated lamb) and the Lamb Shish Kebab (ground lamb and spices), I recommend the Shish Kebab for its excellent mix of spices (lamb purists will enjoy the Boti Kebab). I have to say, again, that I really appreciate the vegetables that come with each entree. They are always crisp/tender, and never limp/lifeless. The veggies make the meal quite well-rounded. Also, in the past, we've tried and enjoyed their buttermilk Lassi ($3.50) and Mango Lassi ($3.95) drinks. Though we've only been in the evening, I understand that they do offer a buffet -- and this is probably the best way to sample their food. Once again, I still recommend Usmania for a great food- and cultural experience out here in the white-bread 'burbs of Snohomish County! Pros: Restaurant is not very busy (a table is always available). Cons: Restaurant is not very busy (I don't want them to go out of business). more

Quit looking at reviews and eat at Usmaina! Now!! 2/16/2007

I used to go to this restaurant when it was located in Seattle near Greenlake. Suffice to say, I make the trek all the way to Mill Creek just because Usmania is a diamond in the rough! There is absolutley no other restauraunt in the Puget Sound area quite like it. The naan is amazing... howerver one complaint is that naan does not come with the dinners anymore you have to order it. The food is is always top notch with the right amount of flavoring and spice. Their rice is unlike anything I have tasted before and has incredible flavor. My fiancee and I are actually getting ready to go to Usmaina right now for dinner and she is complaining that we are not in the car right now so I must be cut short of my review... just go and try Usmanina out already!!! Pros: Food, flavor and authenticity. Cons: Off of the beaten path from Seattle, but worth the drive!!! more

Fabulous Food 11/10/2006

I went to Usmania on a Friday night with my mom after she'd heard fabulous things about this place. Well, she was right. It wasn't that busy when we arrived and I have no idea why. The food here is incredible. I can't remember what beef dish I had, but the meat just melted in my mouth and sauce that covered it had some spice to it which definitely added to the dish. If anything you absolutely have to go there for the Naan and Baba Ghanoush. It was the best I've ever had. I definitely will make the trip up to Mill Creek for this place. Pros: Fabulous Food Cons: A bit of a trek from Seattle, but worth it! more
