I used to study here while in Law School. great crowd, good food, love the outside patio!

Worst

Had our 2.5 year old who is great at restaurants, tried to order from the Kid's Menu a Turkey Panini, but asked them not to ""panini"" it because our daughter isn't really into me...

Wonderful food and desserts! 11/20/2006

I went here for lunch during a week day and it was sooo crowded but it was sooo worth the wait! I had the stuffed grape leaves and a salad with a iced chai to drink. It was soo good! And the dessert there is wonderful too! I love their tiramisu; it's terribly delicious! The atmosphere is cute, but when it gets busy, it's hard to find a place to sit. This place is so great, I'm sure you've already been there-how could you not? There are always tons of people there but I think its bc the food is yummy, healthy and the staff is very friendly. They have great hours and its casual. more

you have to go there if you like tea, they offer big and small portions of fresh open tea, and organic cookies and cakes and stuff. they also have a menu on sandwiches... i only had tea, a big big kettle of awakend buddha and it was really really good! the greatest thing about this place is that they let you sit, chat, hang out as long as you want! i love this place! Pros: time, value Cons: parking more

Typical Coffee shop in LA 9/14/2006

The food was pretty good. Had a chicken curry sandwich and some other sandwich I forgot. I also had tiramisu (not very authentic though). I also had the spanish coffee which was really strong. I also spotted a celebrity who happened to sit next to our table. However the service was mediocre. I mean,... well considering this is not your dine in with a waiter taking care of you, the service should have been more courteous. They take your order before you reach the cashier and the person who took our order was really antsy, trying to speed us up. Pros: Celeb, fod Cons: crowded, service more

a great place for lunch 8/17/2006

so good, and very sceney. i love the signature salad- it's loaded with ingredients, not just lightly sprinkled on top. i haven't tried the desserts but they always look amazing. i have heard some bad things about the vegan desserts, so i don't think i'll be trying those. a great place for lunch! more

what is up with the 2.50 for the large coffee! It was crowed inside and the people were pushing to get to the counter. It was early Saturday morning, and I know how one gets without one's coffee, but no thanks. I turned and walked out and went directly across the street to Peet's where I saved .60 on the same size coffee! Pros: I really don't know Cons: crowds, price, hype more

Monday night dinner! 6/8/2006

Myself and 2 of my girlfriend were in LA for the week, and had heard a lot about this cafe. After checking here I was a bit skeptical because of a few bad reviews, but I had an amazing experience! Service was very quick and the food was AMAZING. The paninis were $11 each but they were absolutely fantastic (I had the portabella, my friends both had the cheese one). It was slightly confusing when we first walked up, but we soon figured out you simply order at the counter (you're then given a number), and then go pick your table and the food is brought out to you! We had the cheesecake as well for dessert and it was so amazing. The fresh iced tea is amazing as well, I seriously can't rant about this place enough. I'd go there every day if I could, I absolutely loved it. Cute automosphere, awesome food; a great place to go with your friends. Pros: moderately inexpensive Cons: crowded, small tables more

So over-rated 1/7/2006

I went there for lunch last Friday and it was aweful. There is no where to sit and all the tables are shoved next to each other inside. You can sit outside, if the weather permits. It was very hot and they only have a few seats outside with adequate shade and they were all taken. So I milled around and waited 50 minutes for a sandwhich that cost 13 dollars and sucked. Panini Portebello sandwhich that was so bland and mushy. I also enjoyed a nice warm glass of carrot juice that they couldn't serve sooner becuase there was no where for me to sit and display my order number. I heard many others complaining that they didn't get their order or they got the wrong one. I had heard great things about this place and I was totally disappointed with the service and the food quality. more

Service was great!!! 10/18/2005

first time i went here was on a saturday night w/ my friend... around 11pm. We had our car valet (i think $3-5) and i ordered a brownie and mocha coffee and my friend had a coffee as well. there were a few seats available out front and they brang our food to our table. But before, when i was inside, the service was very cooperative. A great experience here!!! Pros: Service, Food, Valet Cons: seating more
