a great university for science 4/16/2006

I recently graduated from UT Austin and believe that it is one of the better schools in the area, especially in the scientific fields. I like the quality of the professors and most of the lab equipment is relatively new so there is lots of opportunity to use all of the lab equipment and learn on it. I would recommend UT for a degree in almost any field. more

I am a graduate of the University of Texas and am proud to call it my alma matar. After graduating with a B.S. in Biology, I have gone on to become a dentist, The education I got at UT was the best. I enjoyed every moment there. Austin is a great city and I would highly recommend UT to anyone. more

Good university 8/18/2005

University of Texas at Austin is a very good university in United States. The main campus is close to downtown Austin, and the campus is pretty big. But there are tons of students in this university, the campus is very crowded in the noon. The tuition is increasing every semester, but in all, the facilities in this university are good, for example, a very big gym. more

Bathe in the patchouli with pride! 8/18/2005

It's really a shame that I didn't take advantage of the classes at UT. I was too caught up in my extra-curricular activities to go to class and do my homework. Yes, it is a huge plus that there are so many clubs and activities in which to fill up your free-time, but one can get obsessed if not careful and lack balance in dividing attention between school-work and extra-curriculars appropriately. Do the club thing, but also do your homework...especially if you want to go to grad school. UT is a fantastic school in which to learn about different cultures and opinions. more

Good place to be 8/17/2005

UT is a good, all-around school. It's still fairly affordable and does a good job of maintaining qualified faculty and spacious, technologically advanced campus grounds. They've got wireless in most (if not all) the buildings and lots of courses to choose from, as well as a huge campus. Housing can be expensive, so find something in early February or March to be on the safe side. more

Best College in Texas 8/16/2005

In short, the University of Texas at Austin provides a wide range of fields at an affordable price. Lately, the tuition rates have been on the rise with added fees for new constructions and restoration; however, the school is still a great value for the education. I graduated UT with a 5 year degree in Accounting and I have had a job lined up for over a year at a big 4 accounting firm. Not only does UT have a huge student body, but the town is amazing. There are a melting pot of cultures and activities to do in Austin. Keep Austin Weird! Take one weekend to come visit the campus and do some of the activities around Austin, and you will be sold. more

High Class Education 7/12/2005

UT was a great experience. I was an advertising major in the communications school. The education was top notch. They have really knowledgeable professors. The main drawback, to me, was that the school was too big and the classes too large. But it's a great school to be an alumni from! more
