Best

Thrill rides, shops and restaurants at Citywalk and a fabulous Hollywood experience with King Kong, Revenge of the Mummy and Shrek. There is no reason not to have a good time.

Worst

fun

I like coming here. There is no headache..It doesnt wear you down and the prices are decent. A much better time here then magic..as for disney..nothing is beter then that.

Universal Studios 6/29/2006

I recently went to Universal Studios with friends, and I had a good time, but not necessary from the park. Many of the rides are pretty old (in the sense that if I had gone 5 years ago, it wouldn't have been much different), but there are a few classics like Jurassic park. I like the theme of the park, and the food isn't as expensive as you would expect. If you are visiting California, Universal Studios should be on your list, but not near the top. more

Universal Studios Hollywood! 4/17/2006

All fans of movies and television will have a blast at Universal Studios Hollywood. It is a fun theme park with lots of fun rides and attractions- Don't miss the Mummy, Terminator 2- 3D or Jurassic Park. But my favorite part of this park is the Studio Tour where you board a tram and get to see the backlots and might even get to see some filming in progress. Maybe you will even take a ride down Wisteria Lane- fans of Desperate Housewives will love that part. more

Universal Studios 4/16/2006

Universal Studios was one of the many places we visited while in the Los Angeles/Hollywood area. Although we perceived it to be more of a theme park than an actual studio, it does provide you with a glimpse (although glamorized) of the process of filming...including various special effects used, and certain sets and props (we saw the cars from the Fast and the Furious and part of the Notting Hill set, to name a few). As a theme park, it was fun...particularly if you are into movies, but even if you aren't, the rides are fun and interesting. more

USH nah. 4/13/2006

This place is ridiculously small and there's barely anything to see. The only thing people go there are for: the tram, Jurassic Park, the Mummy ride. That is all. The shows are not really entertaining and Shrek 4D isn't that great. The food is way too overpriced although they always boast the fact they serve beer (which is a plus I guess) so the whole family is happy. The kids get to see Spiderman, X-men, and all those other Marvel superheroes and the parents get to be drunk. more

Universal Studios Hollywood! 3/26/2006

I've been to Universal Studios Hollywood way too many times before! I've also purchased an annual pass before so maybe that's why I'd say it is just "great." Something that I need to say is that there just aren't enough rides! The lines are always way too long for the little rides that they do have! They also took the E.T. ride out which I used to absolutely love! I like all the behind the scenes parts around the place though. If you go, make sure you take the studio tour! It just might be my favorite ride there! That's if you consider it to be a ride. If you're from "out-of-town," you should definitely check this place out! more

An Average Theme Park At Best 2/25/2006

This is one of those theme parks that after you visit once, you don't need to visit again. It's only fun the first time you visit. What sucks is that they don't update the park and the rides very much like other theme parks such as Disneyland and Knotts. Not many thrilling rides either. It's more like viewing a park. Some of the rides they have, or had (It's been a while since I last visited),is the Back to the Future ride and Jurassic Park. Both are quite fun for the first time, but get boring quite easily!!! But the feature attaction is the trolley ride that takes you through a lot of movie sets, such as jaws and king kong! Also what sucks is that you have to do a lot more walking than usual than at most theme parks. The rides/shows seem farther away than most theme parks. Sometimes, Universal will offer cool promotions, such as buy 1 day, get 1 year free. But really, you only need to go here for 1 day, or 2 at the most. You won't really need a free 1 year pass. more

Universal Studios 12/22/2005

Universal Studios is a fun place to take out of town guests. Be sure to take the tram tour that takes you through the back lot. You never know what tv shows or movies will be filming on location that day. Various shows (i.e., action adventure, Backdraft, animal stars) are scheduled throughout the day so you'll need to keep your eye on the clock to catch everything. Discounts are available year-round so you should never have to pay full price. more

Entertainment from the insiders 11/13/2005

I think that this place is great for anyone who wants to find out more about the secrets of the pros in Hollywood. Many of the rides or attractions in the park are designed to inform the visitors about how certain movies are made. I love the Backdraft and the tram tour. In addition, the Citywalk just outside the park is a great shopping and dining area. You can catch a movie at the end of a day in Universal Studios. more

welcome to hollywood 11/9/2005

This is definetly a must do if you visit Los Angeles. It definetly makes you feel like you are walking on movie sets. Take the tram tour.. It takes you to parts of the park that the publics don't have access to otherwise. If you are lucky, maybe you'll spot a celebrity. Jurrasic Park is so much fun. I have an intense fear of height, but for some reasons, I love this ride. You can get really wet so make sure you bring change of clothes or put on a rain gear. The Mummy maze scared my pants off. My sister, cousin and I had to be pushed by strangers behind us because we froze in there out of fear. But we are scardly cats, so this might not be as scary for some ppl. There's this fried chicken place that serves the best chicken ever!! I can't remember what it's called (near the Jurrasic park ride I think), but it serves the best fried chicken. Watch out for bees when you dine outdoor. more

Universal Studios Hollywood. 10/24/2005

I have been to Universal Studio Hollywood since I was 11 years old. At that time, I thought it was a great amusement park. But nowsaday, It is not when you compare universal studios bettween in Hollywood and Orlando. Universal Studios in Fl is much more better than Hollywood. However, there are a few differents that the other doesn't have. For example, you can see the real scence in the movie here. more

Wonderful theme park 8/18/2005

I love this theme park. It brings me back a lot of memories of movies I have seen before. All rides are wonderful. I would like to visit once again with my family. But it was a little bit hot when I went there in summer, Maybe we can go there in winter so that the whether is pretty nice if it does not rain. more

Fantabulous! 8/13/2005

This is a great place for the whole family. They have recently added new attractions like the Mummy the ride and the famous Fear Factor live. And added new features such as the VIP and the Front of the line tickets for those people who cannot tolerate long lines and there is this Child Switch wherein parents with childred can enjoy the rides by switching each other in taking care of the kids without going back in line again. SO people have fun and enjoy the rides. more

Where's E.T 8/10/2005

I've been to Universal Studios a few times now. When it was the mid-to-late 90's, E.T, Backdraft, and Waterworld was open to the public. Also what was good was the unveiling of the Nickelodeon venue. It was also the time where Jurassic Park: The Ride was open and barely had problems. Now in 2005, what was once a decent park, is now a declining one. They took away E.T, made what looks like a low-budget Spiderman live-action show, and there have been many closings on Jurassic Park. The decline of visitors and profit loss caused them since years ago to do the "Buy a Day, Get a Year Free" offers. Still, until they bring the old stuff back and not edit anything, Universal might need to shut down the park in a few years, as Disneyland re-opened Space Mountain and has 50 years this year. more

Amusement Park 8/9/2005

My friend, who is from up north, alwyas tells me that there is nothing else in Los Angeles besides Universal studio hollywood and disneyland, absolutely nothing else. Well, I guess this is it! Universal studio hollywood is one of the only two biggest attractions of Los Angeles, or say southern california. It has great location, weather, overpriced food, expensive merchandise.... I lived in Los Angeles for five years and had been to this place once....and that was enough for me! I guess I am not a amusement park person more

Bleh. Where are the rides 8/7/2005

I had expected a nice day with my family one day, until I found out this place had very few rides...and to boot, most of them were like shows and tours. The only ride I truely enjoyed was the Jurassic Park water ride and that was not worth it for the price of admission and the day spent wasted. I'm not looking for a simulation like Back to the Future but something solid and real. Thanks, but no thanks. more

Universal Studios 8/5/2005

Do you like movies? Television? Do you want to be an actor? How about a director? Universal Studios is all about entertainment. It is a great place for people that have any type of interest in film. There are great rides and great shows. The studio backlot tour is great. There is enough fun for the whole family. more
