I cannot express enough how BAD this company is and I cannot stress enough to NEVER use them! Our move started off bad and went way downhill from there! Our movers were 90 minutes late with no call. I called twice and was given a vague "" they must be on the way""l When they showed up they started moving very quickly and less than an hour in the issues began. They moved a wood desk on its end and it snapped from the weight of the end that was up in the air. Then did the same thing with the matching desk. They dented our new stainless steel fridge over a dozen times. They DROPPED our washer OFF the truck. When a washer meets concrete, the concrete always wins. The guy who dropped it walked off the job and stole a phone to call for a ride I guess. We spent over an hour trying to get a hold of someone at the company and when we finally did we were basically told ""too bad"" and they refused to send any more help. We were forced to choose between having the two guys who had done a really crappy job so far work well into the night (probably overnight) or let them keep all our our belongings on the truck overnight and sleep wherever we could with no overnight bags - no clothes, toothbrushes, nothing - and they would come back with a third guy in the morning. In the end we went with that in hopes of salvaging some of our furniture and appliances! \r I turned in damage forms the evening after and then have called almost every day, usually several times a day trying to get them to do ANYTHING. They came out to assess the damage on 8/15 and told me I would have a resolution no later than 8/19. On 8/19 when I called they said the dm was out and I had to wait until 8/22. On 8/22 they flat out said they had no resolution and no timeframe. After I disputed their payment with visa, they finally called me and said they were working on it. On 8/23 they called and said they were getting me a new washer on 8/26. I called 3 times and was finally told that they never said I was getting a washer and that now I had to wait for the owner who is out of town until at least the end of the week! They offered a loaner washer, which I refused. First, i shouldn't have to take off work two times for washer deliveries and swaps. Second, I have no idea where this washer is coming from or what shape it is in. If it leaks in my house, starts a fire or ruins my clothes, I'm 1000% sure two men and a truck aren't going to make it right! And third, there is NO reason they can't get a new washer in 16 days time! \r \r Never never never never use this group of incompetent lying cheats!\r more

I arranged to have these guys move me. I was very clear with them that I needed a piano moved from a 2nd story apartment to a house. When I called 3 days before my move to confirm everything they suddenly decided that they could no longer move a piano from a 2nd story apartment. This left me looking for another company last minute. I spoke with the owner and told him that this was disappointing and I would be reviewing them online. He told me I couldn't do that because they never moved me, he then said, ""I'm taking you off the schedule,"" and hung up on me. DON'T USE THESE GUYS! They are not professionals. more

BEWARE!!!!!!! Our movers ""allegedly"" stole money from our home and now say they never saw the item in question when it was moved into our new home and we did not move it b/c we obviously forgot to pack this item (which should not have been touched/moved at all b/c it was not packed or secured, the representative at the office told me before hand they were only allowed to handle boxes, furniture and tubberware containers). The local office is not doing anything to rectify the situation. I have done what they told me to with filing a police report. My husband and I feel very violated by this company. Two of the three movers made references 4 times about being tipped. This move(with 3 men) from a 1 bedroom apt cost more than my relative paid to have a 3 bedroom house moved (with 2 men). Overall this experience with Two Men and a Truck has been a nightmare. more

Eh.... 12/15/2011

There are some more reviews on Google Reviews that captures various problems. But basically I think a lot of problems depend on the crew you get and/or how they quote you. I ended up paying almost double for a move because of a poor estimate. You think they would do what it would take to get the job done...but if you don't get more men...then it takes longer and you start paying for each 15 minutes or you pay for more men to help do it in a shorter amount of time. I liked the first crew...second crew not so much. Just wouldn't recommend them. more

Wow! They were great 9/7/2010

I was skeptical hiring a company I didn't know. But what a great experience. They were on time, dressed well, polite and curtious. ALL my furniture was wrapped and padded. They were patient with me while I decided where some of the furniture should go in my new place. more

Bad Experience with Two Men and a Truck 5/14/2010

Memorize this line: Two Men and a Truck suck! They damaged some of my stuff during the move. I filled out a damage report with the mover and was told that an area manager would contact me in two business days to investigate/resolve. Well it's been three weeks and I've made more than 5 phone calls plus e-mail, and no one will return my calls or respond to my inquiry about how they plan to reconcile the situation. They even lied to my credit card company and stated that they didn't have any paper work on me, even though a damage report was filled out. Very dishonest company. They will call you aggresively to get your business, but once they damage your stuff, their service goes out the door. Pros: They showed up on time Cons: They broke my stuff more

Suberb Company 4/29/2010

We have moved several times in the past and with many companies. This was our best move yet. The office was upfront and knowledgeable. The movers were on top of their game the entire move. They to great care of our property! I will be calling them if we have to move again in the future. Not sure why all the poor reviews below, I have only great reviews for this company. Pros: knowledgeable staff, quality moving services Cons: n/a more

Another Great Move! 4/13/2010

We have used this same company before and had great move with them. Once again they made the experience a great one. The 2 guys that moved us were polite and efficient. We felt that we were working with trained staff that knew what they were doing. I would highly recommend this company Pros: just as great the second time around! more

Great Experience 4/1/2010

We had such an awesome experience with this company! The office staff was helpful and reassuring when we called with questions or concerns. The moving staff was professional, courteous, and experienced. They made a very stressful time easy to handle! We will call this company again and again. I have already recommended them to a friend! Pros: profession movers, helpful office staff more

DO NOT HIRE THEM! HORRIBLE! 11/12/2009

Well for starters they were 5 1/2 hours later than they said they would be at the time of scheduling. They sent 2 young men who took an hour and a half to put a sofa, coffee table, end table, kitchen table & chairs, bed, chest of drawers and washer/dryer into the truck. We then headed what typically takes 12 minutes in 5:00 pm traffic (took them 35 minutes) to the house to drop off the furniture. It took them another hour and a half to unload it. While in the process they dropped and broke an antique chair (irreplaceable) and stated that they would file a claim and have someone come out to fix it (was unfixable). After 4 days of not hearing from them I contacted them and to my dismay found that they were only going to refund me $12 for the chair. Needless to say I spent close to $400 for them to move the few items and ended up with a broke chair only worth $12. Save your time and money and rent a Uhaul and haggle friends to help you. It isn't worth the time or money wasted on this shitty company! Pros: There were no pros! more

Not fully satisfied 4/22/2009

At the time, I thought they were doing fine. They showed up on time & got things done quite quickly. And because they were only moving the goods 1-2 miles in town, I didn't think I'd need any extra insurance. Even with that short distance though they damaged something. \r \r They wrote out a damage report & said someone would call. Nobody did, & finally I had to call. I found them to be not very responsive. And I don't think anything should be damaged on such a short drive. It was a very easy move, & their service complicated it. Pros: Arrived on time & finished quickly Cons: Damaged material & were not responsive to make good more

Do NOT hire two men and a truck 12/8/2008

I would avoid at all costs Two Men and a Truck. We had a horrible experience with them.\r They damaged things in our new house. They also did not put stuff back together like the beds etc. and didn't put things in the correct place as requested. They left stuff at the old house. They left their personal garbage at our house. they left cigarette butts at my old house on the driveway which the new owners complained about. they denied everything and their owner believed them and not us, the customer. They damaged a lot of our stuff and did not provide a standard amount to have it replaced. Just a horrible, horrible experience that I would not want anyone else to suffer through. \r Cons: EVERYTHING more

Protect your cushions! 7/15/2008

I recently used this company and had a bad experience. They packed our love seat cushions in our used grill! We had grill marks on 2 cushions! We did not even receive an ""I'm sorry"" when we rported the damages. They also took there time to load up the truck and when we unpacked we could not easily find all the hardware to furniture. I would not recommend the company. more

Professional, quick, polite, and CAREFUL WITH YOUR STUFF! 7/10/2008

We've had some awful movers in our time. We've moved about ten times in ten years. We've never had such a wonderful moving experience as when we used Two Men and a Truck. There was no intimidation about the size of the tip, they were always professional and polite, and they were very quick. Furthermore, the prices are very reasonable. I recommend these guys to anyone who's looking. Don't even bother calling anyone else! Pros: Professional, quick, polite, and they really take care of your stuff more
