Twilight has moved!! 4/8/2009

Update. The Twilight Exit has moved to 2514 E. Cherry St. The menu is still all home made goodness with a few additions like fried cilantro and jalapeno ravioli and chicken fried game hen. Still the Best spot in the Central District. Pros: Great Food, Stiff Drinks Cons: none more

A fantastic neighborhood bar 11/25/2007

Full disclosure: I live about two blocks from the Twilight Exit, so my love for it originally stems from convenience. I might not drive from Ballard, for instance, to check it out. So take the following with a grain of salt: I LOVE THIS BAR. It's got very cheap, very stiff drinks (esp during happy hour), couches, pinball, big buck hunter, a pool table, comfy booths, a magician on wednesday nights (for real), killer karaoke on sundays, delicious fried food (try the fish and chips), friendly capitol hill/central district clientele, nice bartenders. I come here whenever I can. You will like it. Pros: see above, and an awesome jukebox Cons: none whatsoever more

Alternative bar with eightees rock music 12/3/2006

If you're into rock music and if you can appreciate the rock classics from the eightees and earlier this place is made for you! The interior is very alternative and people hanging around are very social. Perfect place to have beers with your friends and enjoy good old rock songs. Pros: Great rock music! Cons: No cons. more

TOP TEN REASON THE TWILIGHT EXIT pwn5 the 5c3n3 9/20/2006

1. RELAXED atmosphere. I make a new friend, if only for the night.. everytime I go there 2. strong drinks. Alcoholics rejoice, your money will not be wasted here 3. great kitchen, they'll deep fry anything there... mmmmm! 4. wicked awesome juke box 5. MEDIEVAL MADNESS (best pinball game 3var) 6. darts! 7. the "outside patio area" is "relaxing" 8. wizards! (I am not kidding, go wednesday night at 10pm) 9. clean restrooms, for a "dive" bar! 10. the bartenders are swell. Pros: two thumbs way up Cons: none more

They got what I need! 9/16/2006

One of the few bars in this town that serves Bekerovka (not sure if I spelled it right), so I keep coming back on that alone. However, The Twighlight has super good food as well. The pulled pork, the burgers (haven't ventured to the peanut butter bacon, but it has super cult status) the fried chicken for your incredible bar food -but what people DON'T realize is that The Twighlight has one of the best cobb salads in town! Weekend brunch is perfect for those with a huge need to stay away from the sun and eat mammoth amounts to cure their hangover, just be aware that you'll be waiting a while before the food comes (the bloody mary is served instantly though). One of my favorite spots in Seattle. Pros: stiff drinks, good booze selection, incredible food Cons: waiting for brunch with a headache more

great food, strong drinks, good people 9/13/2006

been around the Twilight a long time. If you want good people, stiff drinks and a little crazy in your life, this is the place to be. Happy hour is always mellow, weekend brunch is always a kick in the pants and Sunday karaoke has been known to be off the hook on occasion (more occasionally than not). I've always said the place reminded me of my buddy's bedroom back in the '70's. Lighting (it's very red), mood, people. a good place to get your groove on. Juke is pretty good too. Pros: try the peanut butter and bacon burger! more

I Love The Burgers 9/13/2006

The lighting is cool, yeah, yeah, yeah. Don't poeple eat anymore? I love the food at the new Twilght Exit. The burgers are soooo good. Don't get me wrong the drinks are still great, but the food... see for yourself. This is my new burger joint! Pros: great food and drink Cons: food is slow sometimes more

great birthday party place 9/13/2006

I just had my birthday party there. never heard of the place. It Rocks! Great people working there. They so took care of me. Made sure that the cabie knew where i was going. it was my birth day so i didn't have time to really check the place out. However, i felt very cool in that place. going back soon. can't believe that i've never been ther. it's my new secret place. Pros: kickin' party place Cons: can't smoke (not their fault) more

Best steak in town 9/13/2006

Holly Cow! Finaly a great hang-out bar in seattle that isn't too crowded and has great food. Two days earlier I had a steak at Morton's, way good ($45), tonight I had a steak at The Twilight, and-oh-my-God, it was great. I never knew. Now, this bar has it all. Stiff drinks, rockin' jukebox, and incredible food. I can't ask for more. The lighting is top notch as well. I love it! Pros: The food, the food, the booze Cons: A bit off Capital Hill (maybe a good thing) more

The Twilight Rocks 2/28/2006

I've been enjoying the twilight formany years and the spot (across the street from the old) has been better than the old Adam, Dave, Erica, and Thomas all made the trip to the new locale. There are new faces as well Ryan the Chef make some of the best food anywhere on the hill and breakfast/Brunch on the weekends is awesome. Sunday still rocks with hipster/secenster crowd. What more can I say this place is killer! Pros: Strong Drinks, Cool people, Good Food more

Sing Sing Sing 10/24/2004

I've only been here for the kareoke on Sunday nights, but it's been great every time! The crowd really gets into it, and the BBQ guy shows up on those nights for tasty treats right outside! Even if you don't get up and sing a song of your own, you're sure to find tunes to sing along with. more

This is THE Bar!!!! 10/19/2004

And it's MY bar!!! I live 3 blks away, I'm a regular, and I love this place... and everyone in it... except the "Sunday people", the scenesters who only show up for Karaoke night... Pros: Great staff, Well made drinks, Off the beaten path more

Great place! 12/30/2003

I've been to the Twilight a handful of times now and the place is really establishing a spot on my top 5 list of great stinky bars. With sit-down Ms Pac Man, Arkanoid, Galaga, Dig-Dug, Defender and a few pinballs, there are some great games to play. You've also got pool, and the music is either a jukebox offering funk and punk, or DJs spinning old school funk and the like. Quirky people abound, and on some nights, a few dogs will make the scene. Beers range from PBR to a constant selection of foreign beers you've never heard of, as well as a standard bar that mixes decent drinks. Great fun! more

Amazing place... 12/3/2003

Good strong drinks for low cost... friendly bartenders and locals. Go on Saturday nights for some of the best DJ's in Seattle... when the get started the place actually has the feel of one big 60's house party more

great bar great food 11/2/2002

I love this place. It's not just beer anymore. They have booze and great food now. The drinks are nice and big too. Pros: decor, food, jukebox more

Editorial
  • The Scene
Hugh Hefner's first apartment comes to mind when sitting among the perfectly placed retro accoutrements. Orange and blue lamps illuminate this otherwise dark burrow while plush couches, swivel chairs, a rockin' jukebox and chatty drunk locals simply add to the charm. It's unlikely that you'll stumble onto this place: Though it dons a Madison Street address, it's nestled near the Central district, an area many people avoid at night.

    The Draw
Besides a few nut and candy machines, this isn't a place for eating. Just sit back and drink your beer. Every Sunday night, karaoke superstars pack the place, so get there early, grab a seat and watch some of Seattle's best voices belt one out.
