OMG! ROSA IS THE BEST! 11/19/2008

I've been seeing Rosa for a while now and I cant even explain in words how she makes me feel. My hair was down past my chest and I had to cut my hair really short for a show so I felt so insecure and masculine. The moment I went to Rosa I felt like myself again. She made my short hair look so cute and edgy, I felt stylish and high-fashioned. I got compliments left and right everywhere I went. Once my hair started growing in I was in the phase of wanting my hair really long again so not only did Rosa cut my hair but she also can gave me long hair. She is the extension master. I mean you couldnt even tell I had extensions. It lasted about 5 months and very easy to take care of. She knows Im a hair junkie so shes always open and so willing to all my request. No matter how short or long I go, Im ALWAYS happy with her work. Its amazing how a stylist can make me feel amazing and good about myself. I highly recommend Rosa for just a trim, a dramatic change, or extensions, whether you have straight, wavy, or really curly hair. With her talent you just cant go wrong! more

TRIO: Terrific and Tremendous 11/11/2008

I have always been a loyal salon client and would typically follow my hair stylist wherever they landed. A few years back I recognized that my stylist wasn't meeting my needs. (The kicker was the time I walked in to a North Shore salon about three minutes late for my appointment and he was walking out the door, leaving for the day! Are you kidding me?) Every since I have been a regular client of TRIO and Robyn. She is great! She is a wonderful stylist, an all around nice person, a good listener, and she has a great sense of humor. I live in Evanston and now frequent TRIO Salon on Central Street. Give this salon a try and I guarantee you'll be pleased with the outcome. more

TRIO: Terrific and Tremendous 11/11/2008

I have always been a loyal salon client and would typically follow my hair stylist wherever they landed. A few years back I recognized that my stylist wasn't meeting my needs. I FINALLY LOVE MY HAIR!!!! 11/2/2008

I always saw Rosa for my haircuts because she gets my curly mess & keeps me from looking like a suburban mom!!! My hair is naturally coarse, curly & dry! Years ago Philip (my colorist) introduced me to the japanese straightener and recently introduced me to the Brazillan Blowout!!! My hair looks and feels healthier, softer, shinier, and I still have plenty of body!!! Thanks to TRIO I don't have to waste my time on trying to smooth out my frizz every morning! I highly recommend the pros @ TRIO on guiding your unruly hair!!! Philip & Rosa are the BEST!!! Pros: Years of experience! Parking is easy compared to downtown Chicago! Worth every penny! Cons: Scheduling is difficult be patient & book in advance, they are worth the wait!!! more

The BEST Hair stylist in Chicago! 11/1/2008

I don't even know where to start...Kim is a super star! This girl has serious talent. She is an artist. I have lived in the city of Chicago and the Northshore of Chicago for over 10 years now...I have been to every salon imaginable and no one could top her haircuts. She is an absolute perfectionist and makes sure you always leave the salon happy and feeling good. She has the best personality of anyone I have ever met and she totally loves what she does--you can tell the second you meet her. you will not be disappointed...go to KIM and you will never need another hair stylist--ever! Pros: Easy to get to! Cons: There are none! more

Amazing Hairstylist 9/12/2008

Robyn came to my rescue when I needed an updo for my wedding day. I had already had hair trials with 2 girls from different salons, both of which didn't listen to a word I had to say. I booked with Robyn 1 month before my wedding. No time for hair trials either. On my wedding day, Robyn listened intently to what I wanted my hair to look like. She took her time and made sure I was happy every step of the way. I felt as though she was working with me and I new from the start that she wouldn't leave me disappointed. When I looked at the final result I was so relieved, happy, excited and grateful....Robyn gave me the elegant updo I was looking for! This girl's talent, work ethic and great personality makes her the best stylist I've ever worked with. Thank you Robyn!!! more

Great Service! 8/23/2008

After going to a different stylist for the past 10 haircuts and reading the reviews for trio I decided to give it a try. Robyn had great reviews so i made an appointment with her. She definitely lived up to them, she was great! Every hair cut I had before was not up to the standards of what it cost, they always cut off more than i asked and just didn't listen to what I wanted. Robyn was so friendly and personable. She did exactly what I asked and I finally found a stylist that kept my business. Soooo excited to have finally found someone that listens to what I want. more

Great Service! 8/23/2008

After going to a different stylist for the past 10 haircuts and reading the reviews for trio I decided to give it a try. Robyn had great reviews so i made an appointment with her. I have been going to Robyn for several years and I have always come away feeling very confident about how I look. Robyn has always been a good listener and has been understanding about my hair. She has been able to meet my wishes and bring a more up-to-date look to my desired style. Trio Evanston is the place for glamorous hair... for the not so glamorous girl. BTW...Robyn Rocks!!! 4/23/2008

So, I am NOT a girly-girl; for all of my life my hair has been lucky to get a cut twice a year. Every time I got a cut I'd go to a different salon, never the same place twice because I was never comfortable with the fru-fru stylists or clientele. But going to the laid-back, smaller places left me with a blah hair-style. When I moved to Evanston I searched for a stylist that was close to home. I found Trio and reading the reviews I thought, ""Ok, another fancy salon with super trendy stylists and customers."" But they were close and highly recommended, so I resigned myself to an hour of feeling weird and unglamorous in a room full of beautiful people. All I can say now is ""I LOVE ROBYN!"" She gave me the absolute best cut I had in my life and she has not disappointed me since. She is super cool, friendly, does a fabulous job with my hair, and doesn't push products or services on me. She held my hand through 3 haircuts before I finally decided I wanted to chop it all off in a new shorter style and I LOVE it! I think it was awesome that she was so patient with me and was totally cool when I backed out a couple of times! The place is small and comfy feeling. The receptionist and all the stylists are nice without the fakeness. Robyn makes me feel really comfortable, not weird at all, so I actually get my hair cut every couple of months. And I even feel a little glamorous when I leave there...Amazing! Pros: Super nice stylists, great haircuts, Sunday hours, online appointments Cons: Parking kinda stinks, a little bit pricey but worth it more

Robyn Rocks! 3/25/2008

(And I've had approximately 288 haircuts since I started paying for them myself at age 15.) My hair grows out incredibly well, the products she uses and recommends (without being a product pusher) are always perfect, and she's just a super-sweet girl, too. I love talking to her. I can't recommend Robyn highly enough...she rocks! more

Trio Evanston is a first-class salon! Ask for Robyn and Barbara! 3/10/2008

Trio Evanston is hands-down the best salon I have been too--professional without pretense. I've been to lots of other ""first-rate salons"" in Boston, Michigan, and Amsterdam, but most of them have been expensive factories. My experiences at Trio have been consistently positive and worth every penny. Curly-haired or wavy-haired girls should definitely ask for Robyn, who has a way of transforming my long natural curls into perfect ringlets. And she does it without overloading on products, because she really knows how to cut and style thick, curly hair. Whatever issues I have with my hair when I walk into the salon, Robyn always knows the remedy. Barbara, my colorist, is also fabulous! She lightens my dark brown hair without making me look like a blonde. She really does a great job weaving the color in so that it looks natural, but noticeable. I *highly* recommend both Robyn and Barbara. Pros: The service is great, and they play great music. Cons: Watch out for parking tickets on the side streets in the area. more

Best Stylist and salon 2/6/2008

I just got my haircut at TRIO and I absolutely love, love it!! My stylist was Robin. She is such a talented stylist. I have not had an awesome haircut for awhile and I have to say that I love the haircut that Robin gave me. It is the nicest haircut of all the haircuts I have ever had. I would say that I am a bit crazy about having the perfect haircut, and Robin has ended my search for the perfect haircut and stylist. She is professional, fun, and does not try to sell any hair products to you at all like other salons I have been to. The atmosphere at Trio is fun. Robin listened to what I wanted. At trio, they use amazing products on your hair. Thanks, Robin! I will be back. Pros: Best haircut in town, very fun, easy-going, and hip more
