I recently got my hair cut from Jaimee,and let me tell you it was great! I was referred to her from a friend because I have not been happy with my hair in 5 years. I showed her a picture of how I wanted my hair, and the first thing she said was your hair will not do that, you have a totally different hair texture then the picture. Then she starting giving me options on what we could do. All the other stylist I have been to in the past looked at my picture I had,and said OK. They never even took the time to look at the texture of my hair. Jaimee took the time with me and I have never been happier. She has a client for life..oh yeah and I love the vibe in the salon. Hot hair and trim! 9/30/2006

I went to trim on Saturday to see Lindsay who was recommended by a friend. I have long hair and so I just let her do whatever she wanted. I loved it and when I got home my girl thought it was the best look I've ever had! Thanks Lindsay! She's hot by the way. Pros: Great Hair, Hot Chicks more

When I went to Trim to get my color done I was extremly nervous because my color never seems to turn out the way I like. I was very pleased when the receptionist recomended Dina to me. She was very patient and listened to what I wanted. She gave alot of recomendations of what would work best with what I already had, and how to get to what I wanted. She was never pushy and seemed concerned with making my hair look good, as well as maintaining its good condition. My search for a colorist is over, and I would highly recomend her to anyone. Pros: friendly staff Cons: that I didnt find out about this place sooner more

Best cuts ever 9/27/2006

Nik is my girl. She's amazing. I get the best cuts and my hair has never been healthier since Nik has worked her magic. She knows just the right products to use and just the right cuts to enhance my style and my face! I wouldn't dare go anywhere else. Overrated Hair Salon 9/26/2006

In spite of the warnings other users have posted, I decided to give this place a try because it was given an overall score of 9. Boy did I regret it! The receptionist was rude. Supposedly they offer beer or wine here but I was told there was only water or Sprite. The stylist spent little time with me. I wasn't satisfied with the end product so I wouldn't come here again. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Great spot, talented hair stylists. Nik is my favorite but there are a few others who do great work (anna, djuna, jamie.. ) and I've never been disappointed; I get tons of compliments on my hair and have sent a few friends their way, all ended up being regulars. Worst hair cut in years! 9/24/2006

It does't take a lot to please me, but my recent cut at Trim was without a doubt the worst in at least 10 years! My hair was literally hacked at and in no way looks hip, cool, funky, good or even nominal. The stylist seemed completely untrained. Despite the 20 dollar first haircut offer it is not worth it! The towel used after the shampoo was soiled, the razor used was, well used. In addition, there seems to be a high staff turnover, which can never be good. The staff was pleasant but it can't make up for the lack of quality control. Take my advice and keep walking. more

I had originally reviewed this place as average because of one of their stylists who was not very good, but that stylist is now gone and I have nothing but praise for the place now. They have an assistant named Sylvia who is wonderful and will hopefully not be an assistant for long! The vibe is friendly and upbeat and they don't push product on you. Pros: up beat atmosphere more

My hair looked great the second time around! And they were really nice about re-cutting it. All in all, I ws pretty satisfied even though I had to go in twice. Pros: The price, if you're willing to risk a bad haircut! Cons: Bad haircut, unfriendly staff, hard to find parking more

Just came back from the worst hair cut at Trim. Rude rude rude stylist who argued with me from the first second I was there about what I wanted. Had to leave in the middle of the blow dry. Would NEVER come back. Am only not steaming mad because it cost $20 (for first time customers). No wonder the place is always empty. Pros: always empty!, only $20 Cons: rude staff, low quality more

Great cut 4/2/2006

Booked an appt on the same day. Went in with a clear purpose - just clean it up. Kyle was dead-on with the request - and even shaped it better than I would have suggested. Highly recommended. Even trusted enough him at the end to ask him to recommend some hair product. Rarity for me. more

Djuna is the Best!! 3/6/2006

Go to Trim and find Djuna. I found her by accident and she is great. Affordable, friendly, and a great stylists. I leave there and literally get stopped in the street with compliments on my hair!! Perfect & Non-Pretentious! 1/2/2006

I had a great experience here. Jaimee cut my hair and did a corrective color on it, and it came out 1000 times better than I had hoped. Your first visit, the cut is only $20, and it goes up to whatever the stylist charges after that. Jaimee has her chair overlooking Abbot-Kinney, so it makes for good people watching. She listened to what I wanted and it came out really well, and she told me what would and wouldn't work. Parking can get a little hairy in the area, so beware. If you get there and have to wait a few minutes, you can sip a glass of wine and read the magazines they have for the customers. My biggest rave is that they're not pretentious at all.
