Maternity Ward 6/2/2005

I've had two babies at Clovis Community Hospital. The first was in 2000 and the second in 2005. Things are quite a bit busier out there than they were five years ago, that's for sure. Everyone wants to have their baby at Clovis Community these days. Consequently, they were packed on the day I had my baby and I was lucky to get a room. I also had to share a recovery room with two other women because of the way my room was configured. That was a bit uncomfortable. Outside of that, the care was excellent and the food was pretty decent. I'd still recommend it over the other hospitals in town, but don't expect a private room. Also, the policy about no filming the birth outright sucks. more

Great place to have a baby 5/27/2005

My only experience at this hospital has been with the labor and delivery unit, but it was a great. The nurses are friendly and helpful as well as great sources of information. The rooms are very warm and comfortable and even feature a sleeper couch so that fathers (or parents or friends) can stay overnight. They definately spoiled me there.
