For an Average Joe 12/30/2005

This is not a big grocery store but it almost covers all the stuff you would get in other store. Their speciality is Organic and Natural food products which are little expensive but healthy. They also carry fresh vegetables, fruits and frozen stuff. The other cool thing about this store they have lot of stuff which you can try as samples. The prices except organic stuff is nominal and less than other stores. more

Unique Shopping Experience 10/26/2005

Trader Joe's is a great grocery store if you are looking for unique items. I don't go there when I am looking for routine items like eggs and milk, but the grocery store has a great selection of wine, bread, flowers and also organic items. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Charles Shaw wine seems to be the most popular buy, for $3.49 a bottle, you can't beat it. I like the Merlot and Chardonnay. more

This is NOT a supermarket 9/25/2005

If you're looking for a variety of frozen and easy to prepare foods, this Trader Joe's is for you. But if you prefer options in your meat besisdes frozen with bone and frozen without bone, try somewhere else. A small store, it is perpetually crowded and cold with lines at the checkout counters. The aisles are narrow and poorly organized, and basics like ziplocks, hot dog buns, and canned green beans are not stocked. Though often touted as inexpensive since they carry primarily Trader Joe brand products, a half-full grocery cart can easily amount to $100. If you like a blend of organic options and tasty specialty items, you will find enough to suit your tastes. But this is not a supermarket boasting great amounts of fresh foods. more
