I had such a great experience at Town Shop. All of the staff was so nice and welcoming as soon as I walked in the door. I didn't really know what I wanted for my prom dress and they helped me find the most AMAZING dress! All their sales people should take classes on customer service. They were very RUDE! I was there this past weekend and just because I touched a dress(wanted to feel the fabric) this woman approches me and says ""please don't touch our dresses they are very expensive and delicate."" Then she says ""come with me wash your hands just to make sure you don't dirty the dresses.""I was really in shock and said you know what I will take my money elsewhere. more

Town Shop Bridal knows wedding attire. I went to Town Shop while in NY visiting family. They fit me in last minute and helped me find the perfect wedding dress. I wasn't exactly sure what style I wanted, so they helped me pick all different styles to try on. Once I narrowed it down they were so professional, careful, and attentive in helping me find the one. Due to my short engagement, I was pushing it by choosing a dress so late. Town Shop told me I would probably get the dress (in North Carolina) by mid-December, but I got it early (weeks early)!! Tried it on again and they were so careful about picking a size for me that I don't have to do any major alterations. I could not be happier! Town Shop did a wonderful job! more

Great service, great prices! LOVED The Town Shop. I went to the town shop to get my bridesmaid dress for my sister's wedding. They didn't have the dress in stock so they took my measurements and ordered it for me. I wasn't sure which color belt I wanted so they ordered me TWO different color belts to choose from. They had the dress shipped to me because I live out of town, fast delivery and great product. The staff was wonderful, they really made me feel comfortable. Highly recommended. more

Well, I wish I had read the reviews before I purchased my daughter's prom dress at the Town Shop. I just had the most awful experience there and I am still seething. I will NEVER shop there again and I urge EVERYONE out there to do the same. The owner is an ***hole and I can't believe he has been in business as long as he has. We went there three weeks ago for the fitting. They told me to come back today and that the dress would be steamed and ready to go. We get there and I immediately see that the dress was wrinkled. An extremely rude woman (short, older, heavy weight, short hair) said it looked fine (but it clearly did not) but agreed to press it. I said okay and we waited for 15 minutes. The dress still clearly had wrinkles in it, so she said she would press it again. I spent nearly $400 on it (plus another $65 for the shoes), so I think it should have looked perfect. She comes back and it still didn't look great and I noticed there was a pull on the fabric on the back. When I pointed this out, she said it wasn't there and got really nasty. Then the owner (I will assume this was Gary- tall, older bald man) comes out and became quite verbally abusive to me and my daughter. He yelled at us and embarrassed us in front of the whole store. If I could bring him up on charges I would. He made her cry (which is really a nice thing to do to a sweet 18 year old looking forward to going to her senior prom) and we just left the store. Unfortunately, this jerk will continue to behave like a psycho because he can. I am sure if his crusty old store was located out of such a bum**** place and he actually had real competition, he would go out of business right away. more

I went to the town shop to look at bridesmaids dresses and came across one wedding gown that i LOVED! My mom and I were talking to one of the employees who was pretty friendly and asked us if we needed help. I wanted to try on a dress but she said it was kind of early to start doing that since my wedding isnt for a while and I was OK with that. We got talking about bridesmaids and wedding colors and I forgot to ask who the designer of the dress that i saw in the window was made by before we left. I then wanted to show my friend the dress online but since i didnt know the designer i called the Town Shop and asked if they could tell me which designer made the dress in the window. She told me I had to come into the store to get that information because they did not like to tell people stuff over the phone. I wasnt even asking for the price i was just asking for the name of the designer. I told her i had just been there yesterday and that my wedding isnt for a while and i had no need to come back just yet and she still did not tell me who made the dress because I had to come in first. I thought it was very rude and unprofessional. A customer is interested in something in your store and you are not willing to go the extra mile and tell them about the product? Even if i went into the store tomorrow i still am not ready to buy my dress so i dont get what the big deal was it just did not make sense at all. oh well i guess i wont be going back there ever again... more

Don't get me wrong this store has a huge selection of dresses and they're all really beautiful, but the employees are very rude. Within fifteen seconds of walking into the store a lady said ""Only try on dresses you really like because our dresses are delicate."" I found a dress I really loved there, but I took my money as well as my friend's money somewhere else and found the dress of my dreams. I will never return to town shop bridal. It could have been $1000 dollar day for them. How unfortunate. more

LOVE THE TOWN SHOP! Hello ladies, I recently visited the Town Shop with my mother and sister (after going to too many other stores) and had such a wonderful experience. I called to make an appointment but they told me to walk in - and although they were busy, I was fit right in and was treated so well. I have not seen true customer service like that anywhere around the area! It was great. From the minute I stepped into the store (which has soo many beautiful gowns) I knew I was in the right place. I worked with Debbie who was patient and listened to exactly what I wanted and she helped me find the perfect dress!! I chose a totally different designer (Pronovias) and I am so in love with my dress. Alterations were included in the price which was also huge!! I highly recommend to everyone - a great store with beautiful gowns and really nice people! more

This happened several yrs ago when ordering dresses for my daughters wedding. There were so many horrible memories it is hard to to write them all down. First, my dress was way too big on me, I am a small size, they kept saying it was fine. Had to go back several times for alterations, never fitting properly. Secondly, one of the bridesmaid was pregnant so they just ordered a large size. They could not fix it on the day of the wedding I had to use safety pins in the back so it would not fall off her body. I remember the owner as mean,loud,angry and yelling at me because things did not fit, like it was my fault. I would never send anyone there. NIGHTMARE... more

I LOVE THE TOWN SHOP!!! I visited the Town Shop this weekend - found the dress of my dreams and had a great time!!! I spent the weekend shopping with my mom, two sisters, best friend and my fmil and they were so sweet and accomodating. I worked with Giavana and she made the whole experience awesome. Because the size of our group was so big, we had a separate area all to ourselves which was great - and most stores were not able to deal. Giavana was really patient (because my family is nuts) and everything was wonderful. I met the owners who were really sweet and made me feel like family. I cant wait for my dress to come in -- especially because my wedding is in May which is cutting it close...Anyone who wants to find a gorgeous dress for a good price and work with people who go out of their way to help and make you feel like family, go to the Town Shop. I went to the Town Shop this past Sunday and bought my wedding dress!!! Let me tell you -- I had a truly great experience and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I had recently come from another local store and had a horrible experience and I left with my family in tears. I cant tell you how relieved I was when I got to the Town Shop. I had never been there before, but my family and I were treated so well. My bridal consultant was Grace, who spent more than 2 hours with me -- unheard of. I actually got a dress totally different from what I thought I wanted. I bought my dress and veil and will probably do my bm's there as well. I don't usually post, but I had such a wonderful, sincere experience that I wanted to give the Town Shop a thank you. Also, to ""Lisa Hull"" who posted below - my receipt clearly says that deposits are non-refundable, which makes sense. Based on my experience, I am sure they will help your daughter find the perfect dress! Anyway, great experience, LOVE my dress, LOVE the TOWN SHOP -- THANK YOU!! XOXO more

I AM HAPPY YOU HAD A GOOD EXPERIENCE AND YOU SHOULD. MY PROBLEM IS THERE IS NO DRESS ORDERED! NO SALE! NOW THE TOWN SHOP TWISTS MY ARM AND SAYS U NEED TO SPEND YOUR $1000 HERE AND I DON'T CARE WHERE YOU GO. HAD ANYONE DISCLOSED THE FACT THAT THE DEPOSIT WAS NONREFUNDABLE WE WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE KNOWLEDGEABLE IN OUR DECISION. THE RECEIPT IS AFTER THE FACT! MR. BELMONT WAS RUDE ON THE PHONE HAD DISRESPECTFUL THINGS TO SAY AND THAN HUNG UP ON ME, NOT VERY PROFESSIONAL IN MY OPINION! I DO NOT WANT TO GO BACK THERE AND DO BUSINESS YET THEY HOLD MY $1000 HOSTAGE. LIKE I SAID WE HAVE LEARNED A VERY VALUABLE LESSON. WE FELT OVERWHELMED OUR SALES PERSON DEBBIE DIDNT WRITE DOWN DRESSES MY DAUGHTER LIKED AND THE OTHER SALES WOMAN CAME AND TOOK DRESSES AWAY SO THERE WAS NO OPPORTUNITY TO REVISIT A DRESS THAT MY DAUGHTER MAY HAVE LIKED. I FELT LIKE CATTLE, HAD TO GET US OUT BECAUSE SHE HAD ANOTHER HERD COMING IN. I SHOULD HAVE LEARNED MY LESSON WHEN MY DAUGHTER WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL AND WE WENT TO THE TOWN SHOP TO PURCHASE A DRESS FOR HER SENIOR PROM. THE DRESS WAS ORDERED THE DEPOSIT WAS MADE. 2 DAYS BEFORE THE PROM NO DRESS BUT THEY SAID THEY WOULD HAVE IT. YEA RIGHT! WITH ALTERATIONS THAT NEEDED TO BE DONE, PLUS WERE AN HOUR AWAY. I CANCELLED THAT ORDER, THEY COULD NOT DELIVER. I WENT TO THE MALL AND BOUGHT EVERY DRESS I COULD FIND IN MY DAUGHTER SIZE AND THANK GOD SHE PICKED ONE OUT! IT TOOK THE TOWN SHOP 6 MOS TO CREDIT MY ACCT. THE SLEEZES CREDITED ME AND THAN THEY CHARGED ME AGAIN. IT WAS VERY CONFUSING, DID THEY CREDIT ME OR NOT! I CALLED MY CREDIT COMPANY AND THEY SAID THE CHARGE WENT ON, IT CAME OFF AND THAN ON AGAIN. I CALLED THE TOWN SHOP AND WAS TOLD THE BOOKKEEPER WOULD NEED TO REVIEW IT. IT TOOK THEM 6 MONTHS TO FIGURE IT OUT. THEY WERE HOPING THEY GOT AWAY WITH $100 YOU CAN SEE WHY THEY DON'T WANT TO LOSE $1000. WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO 100% CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. IT MAKES ME SICK TO THINK I NEED TO GO THERE AND SHOP TO MAKE UP MY $1000. I WILL NEVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN AND I HAVE 2 DAUGHTERS THAT ARE ENGAGED AND THEY LOST A VERY BIG SALE. Hi All! I was at the Town Shop just this weekend and bought my wedding dress! I have to say, I had a great experience, and working with Jiavanna was the best. She was warm, kind (a little crazy) and had the patience to help me find exactly what I was looking for. She and my mom were like best friends by the end of the night. I have been all over the hudson valley (and NYC) and really loved my experience there. FYI -- I went to Kleinfelds and I found them to be pushy and obnoxious - I guess my budget wasn't high enough for them...anyhoo...I wanted to just put it out there. I dont understand the negative reviews here, because I was treated really well, and they even gave me a bottle of wine as a congratulations! Seriously, it was awesome. I TOTALLY RECOMMEND THE TOWN SHOP! more
