Anthony's Auto Center owner will perjure himself to scare customers into paying baseless charges. Anthony's says I owe them $5,814 for one day on their lot in September 2009 when they towed my car to their lot instead of the repair shop as I requested. After I complained the same day, they towed it to the repair shop and were paid for the tow by AAA. In December 2009, they said in a certified letter I owed them $276 for the tow to the wrong location and were placing a lien on my car through the DMV. I promptly returned the DMV form disputing their right to place a lien. In March 2010, they sent me a Notice of Pending Lien Sale by certified mail stating under penalty of perjury that they are authorized to hold a lien sale for my car based on a letter of authorization from the DMV. Today, I went to the DMV and received a DMV document saying the request for lien sale was denied three months ago. They are harassing me with threats of legal action and pretending like my car is still on their lot five months later. The tow truck driver was incompetent taking the car to the wrong location, and the owner is a perjurer and unethical. Buyer beware and AAA should remove them as a vendor.
Cons: Unethical
