Very nice ambience yes indeed. When entering the restaurant the hostess was not inviting at all, along with the rest of the staff that was standing at the entrance of the restaurant. There were no smiles, no hellos whatsoever.The hostess did not acknowledge our dinner reservations. We had to wait 20min for table. They were not inviting at all. Food was great but service was not efficient. There was lack of communication with staff about my dinner reservation which let errors which was made on my bill. Part night club without the hauty door guard, part restaurant with the ambiance of a trendy scene; the rythmic music, sexy dancer and unique beat dolled out by extraordinary musicians make Touch one of the greatest places to eat in South Beach. Our waiter, Raul, provided wonderful suggestions that topped out a fantastic evening--great food, superb service--provided in a unique Miami Beach atmosphere. While it is expensive, the food, service, entertainment and ambiance make this a dazzling visual and culinary experience. As a South Beach veteran, I would rank Touch as a don't miss opportunity. The entertainment alone was worth the price of admission; the service and food, which is why we went there in the first place (recommended by South Beach citizens) were excellent. Surely there couldn't be anything worse than paying over $200 worth of food (for 4) and receive the most low down service conceivable! The dishes was passably ok, the service degrading, the WAIT horrendous (over an hour for the food, half hour to get someone to your table, 20 minutes to get the check, another 15 for someone to pick up the check, over 30 minutes to get the Supervisor...when you do, he have a choked up hard time apologizing and have no clue how to mend and maintain it's reputation), and the bill sucks the blood right out of your system. Overall, I'd say you would probably get better service at McDonald than ""Touch"" (or maybe you only get service after you purchase their $200 wine bottle ON TOP of your $200 food bill) Cons: , value for money, upper management more

TOUCH was an amazing experience...from the wonderful décor to the great food...I was in Miami for a week and there was nothing better than touch. On a Saturday night the restaurant was packed and the entertainment (I won't give it away - it's a definite must-see) made the night. Last night I took my date to Touch. We had an argument earlier so I wasn't expecting a great evening but when we arrived we were amazed at the decor including the lighting and music that created an exceptionally romantic mood. The service was superb and after the scallop and shrimp appetizer, we realized that we had made a great choice. The table arrangement gave us a feeling of privacy without limiting our view of the activities and the ambience of the restaurant, which was very sexy and intimate without being overbearing, just added to our enjoyment of the evening. Our waiter was available without being pushy and gave us his view of menu items.....very helpful! The entire dinner was exceptional. This is an unusual restaurant experience! Needless to say we had a directional mood change as a result of our experience at Touch.........how could one do better than that? DO NOT DINE HERE when they are having a special event such as a CD party. They cater only to the special invitees while ordinary customers get ignored. Where did that napkin come from? That's how good the service is at Touch. Headed there when favorite (and sister restaurant) Kiss was closed. Lucky us! This place is incredible! No lie, there is swing located at the bar. Does it make the drink more effective? Worth a shot... The designers deserve comp status at Touch. Please go and see for yourself. Meal was excellent, drinks were divine. Located directly in Lincoln Mall, so near shopping. Great service on weekdays. Little hectic on weekends. They have a new weekday menu very affordable specially if you are hungry. The place was empty, I guess it's normal for a weekday at least until the advertise their weekday menu. Decoration is amazing. The ambience is orgasmic. Best evening my wife and I had in Southbeach. What a bargain considering the great meal, service, scene and party. Prices were comparable to other restaurants /clubs in the area. We will be back in Miami in September, and I can hardly wait to return. more
