The worst renting experience ever. When I moved in the front door was broken, it didn't close all the way and the bolt was broken, there was an illegal light fixture in one of the bedrooms, and the bathroom sink leaked. I was assured a new door would be installed, the light replaced, and the sink fixed. It took almost 3 months to get the sink fixed and a year and a half later I was still waiting for a new door and light fixture. 2 months after moving in, my gas bill was outrageous. TPC sent in a repair man (after a month) who said everything was fine. After another huge bill I called the gas company. They came and informed me that the gas for the entire building was being charged to me. I immediately called TPC and was told that was not correct. 2 months later the gas company came to read the meters. Again I was told the only gas line was linked to my meter. I called TPC again and was again told that this was not true. 4 months later, 10 months after I moved in (and winter was over), I called the gas company to come shut off my gas. Immediately TPC was flooded with complaints of no hot water. They were forced to admit they were lying about the pipes and reimburse me. The amount they paid was $500 short of what was owed and the difference was never made up. A plumber was sent to to fix the problem, but was unable to reach the pipe because of the gas company's lock. He was never sent back. At the time I moved out the gas was still being billed soley to that apartment. There was a bad leak in the tub that was about the equivalent of 4 bathtubs full of HOT water a day. It took almost 3 months for it to be fixed. The washer & dryer were broken all year. Construction was done in the basement and the waste materials, including a toilet, were left right outside the front door. 2 months later when I moved, they were still there. Access to the unkept 'yard' was lost to everyone except first floor tenants. But the rent was not reduced. STAY AWAY!
