Dr. Stephenson is the model of a great doctor--she's professional, caring, compassionate, and genuinely nice person on top of it. I have been seeing her for 5 years for a disc herniation and various other minor injuries as well. I was on the verge of having neck surgery, but visiting her once a month has kept me almost pain-free. I have referred scores of others to her who have all thanked me and agree that she is an outstanding doctor. She takes the time to really listen and goes out of her way educate you about what's going on and how to avoid injury in the future. I was impressed from the beginning that her treatments and recommendations are based on sound scientific research and clinical studies. One hallmark of a great doctor is that if they don't know the answer or solution to something, they will openly acknowledge it and research it before offering advice or treating. Dr. Stephenson has gone out of her way to research special issues or find a special product or resource for me on several occasions. She is generous with her time, and she frequently offers special coupons and fun promotions to help make treatment more affordable for those who need it. You get an amazing value in one package with Dr. Stephenson. Since she was formerly a semi-professional level athlete, she has terrific insight and knowledge of sports injuries and treatments. She offers hands-on physical therapy and massage as part of treatment for some issues, in addition to chiropractic adjustments. She has special physical therapy equipment and machines on site if needed. She will prescribe and teach exercises not just for treating a problem, but for improving your health and fitness and preventing future injury, so she is kind of like a personal fitness trainer too. She is certified and offers acupuncture for certain issues, and she is knowledgeable about nutrition and diet, herbs and supplements. She has a supply of various supplements for sale that she recommends, but I have never ever felt any pressure to purchase anything?only when I bring it up or ask about a product does she give you information about her offerings, and I don?t think she marks them up much over her cost if at all. The practice has a very relaxed atmosphere and is family-friendly. Lorena, the office manager, is a sweet, warm, and friendly person who will always put you in a good mood. I always leave Dr. Stephenson's office feeling calmer, more energetic, healthier, and happier?partly because of the great medical treatment, but also because of how well I am treated and made to feel important, appreciated, supported, and encouraged. I guess you could say you also get the benefit of an attitude adjustment if you are having a bad day or are feeling down. There are no doubt many good chiropractors out there, but you won?t find a better one than Dr. Stephenson.
